Is there any way to use this framework? I can't find way to write down what are my background skills. I can't find way to display effects of all features and edges in one table. I have to click at least 10 times just to check requirements of 10 features I pick. Help? *edit* trying to add Basic Skills result in this. Invalid condition in IF(choice!=0 && choice!="") roll option. Statement options (if any): r, if(choice!=0 && choice!=""),CODE Statement Body : { ([r: choice])};{} Edited by Purrloin, Aug 12 2016, 01:48 PM.

Having never used Maptools before, a good feature would be to include maneuvers. I'm going to try to ignorantly see if I can set it up myself. |

Just popping in after not being active for a long time to see questions and comments here. Sorry I wasn't around to field questions on issues that arose. And I'm not sure there's much point to answering most of them now as some are very old but I'll go over it in case other people have similar questions and come to this thread.
I haven't worked on it in about 2 years so no it's not in dev, maybe I'll get back to it but I wouldn't say it's likely as I said that over a year ago and didn't. It uses maptool's own scripting language. http://lmwcs.com/rptools/wiki/Introduction_to_Macro_Writing
I'm glad people are getting use out of it.
Maneuvers were one of the features I kept putting off, I think I started on them for a 1.9 release that I never finished.
Combat at it's most basic I guess is adding attacks to pokemon/trainers you click on the attack to quick roll the attack and damage. This is output to chat(I purposefully left out any sort of targetting here as I found it clunky in other maptool frameworks) and then you can select other tokens and click on the damage link that is output there.
I can't remember all the details but maptools can be a bit finicky in the usage notes there's set up for hosts which is very important which I will include here Run maptool with settings Max Mem: 1024 Min Mem: 512 Stack Size: 10(other settings may work but have not been extensively tested) Open the campaign from maptool Start a server if you are unsure on how to do this read this Note that you should have strict token ownership, restricted player impersonation, players receive campaign macros, use tooltips for [] rolls selected and make sure players connecting have the same min, max and stack sizes as you. The players do not need to have the campaign file to connect. Once you are ready give your players the details to connect, In this case I believe the important part is this "use tooltips for [] rolls selected" if you're offline I don't recall how to change this.
Thanks for fielding that question Kairose. It's pretty common issue with maptool frameworks, it's a decent program but it's so much more fiddly than something like Roll20 for people to set up. Edited by Fazza, Jun 11 2017, 07:30 PM.

Ok, I was wondering if you are still developing it, mostly because I am making my own software for this kind of thing but was never intending to compete with other projects |

I did a few small edits some of my group asked for, one of them was a targetting system. I sent the targetting in a pm to Fazza for if he wanted to include it in an update more than a year ago. It is not perfect, but it keeps the annoyance off certain things, like players rolling first and then maybe swapping target to that they can actually hit with that roll. I have been experimenting with this frameworks, and I am able to add Pokémon, Items, new Types, etc. However, somehow no matter what I tried, I can't get new Pokémon an image in the pokedex nor upon creation, even if I follow the trend of other Pokémon. For Purlions issues, of having to click the skills every time, I changed the frameworks a bit to show the effects of edges and the requirements on features when he tried it out. I dislike that change a lot, since the limited space you work in, and I believe if you really want it, only the effect should show. That kinda solved his frustration with it. With a bit of help, I might be able to take the project over from Fazza if he really does not want to work on it anymore. Otherwise I am willing to offer my assistance to keep it up to date.
