Theme Music is now mandatory

The dank passageway turns quickly from stone to steel, and the built-in glowing lanterns have turned to primitive steampunk light bulbs. The corridor branches out, and the strangest sight thus far reveals itself: factories and machinery as far as the eye can see. Buckets of iron pipes and stone tools can be seen near the entrance, and light bulbs are present throughout the space that can be seen, though none are lit up... just as well, since this place must be ancient.

A small, fenced courtyard occupies the area around this entrance, and beyond the massive gate arch, it's factories for hundreds of yards.

All these accursed factories look the same! There's no evidence of where the Conkeldurr could be, so Jones heads into the fanciest-looking building he can find.

Unlike the other sheds, this building looks like it has two floors; entering from the front, Jones and Owen find themselves in a startlingly modern-looking reception area. There's a desk with a typewriter on it, some chairs, a rug with coffee table, paintings on the wall... this is incredibly eerie. Two doors are behind the desk, one on the right and one on the left.

Jones quietly moves to the door on the left, and cracks it open.

The door leads to a small, cramped hallway... nothing is inside, but the hall is dark, completely unlit. There must not be any power going to this place...

Jones pulls out his flashlight and flicks it on.

The light shines down the hallway, which abruptly ends after a few meters, with two doors on the left, one on the right, and one in the back. Primitive charts of the human body, as well as a few Pokemon, are hanging on the wall. It really IS like a doctor's office in here.

Jones will backpedal, and check the other door before attempting to explore further. He keeps his flashlight up and on this time.

"I must admit, I wasn't expecting to find something so... anachronistic in here," Owen breathed quietly as he and Jones explored the eerily contemporary rooms. He kept close to Jones, relying on the younger man's flashlight and keener eyes, trying to figure out just how close this place was to a modern level of medicine.

Jones nods, "I know, it's unprecedented what we're finding here."

The other door is strangely locked. The lock's probably pretty old and rusty, though...

Owen notes that the decor, desk paperwork, and even the posters are all oddly in line with modern medical practices; however, there's no sign of any actual medicine yet, no doctor's charts, not even a cotton swab. A deeper investigation would be more telling, it seems.

Jones considers the door for a moment, before muttering a small curse, and then releasing Ursula. "Ursula, I need you to use some acid; carefully mind you, on this spot right here." He indicates a spot about five inches to the right of the door knob. "Make a hole large enough for me to put my arm through without touching the edges, okay?" he instructs the Tentacool.
