Theme Music is now mandatory

The dank passageway turns quickly from stone to steel, and the built-in glowing lanterns have turned to primitive steampunk light bulbs. The corridor branches out, and the strangest sight thus far reveals itself: factories and machinery as far as the eye can see. Buckets of iron pipes and stone tools can be seen near the entrance, and light bulbs are present throughout the space that can be seen, though none are lit up... just as well, since this place must be ancient.

A small, fenced courtyard occupies the area around this entrance, and beyond the massive gate arch, it's factories for hundreds of yards.

Merchant pulls out a pokeball and carefully aims it at the eye, before tossing it with as much force as he can muster.

The Sigilyph eye is completely unmarked by the attack, and the ball has no visible effect on it.

As the ball hits it, the eye slowly emerges from the wall in the creepiest of fashions, weirding out Sneasel. The bulging eye launches a flurry of glowing rocks at Merchant!

Merchant ducks down, dodging all of the rocks. Sneasle doesn't take kindly to the intruder and vanishes before reappearing in front of it, slashing at its face.

After the bludgeoning, the eye is slammed by the ball... and it captures! (15/Mild/2 HP/2 Injuries/knows Rock Blast)

The etching disappears from the wall.

Merchant pockets the new pokemon, patting the sneasel. He investigates the Natu etchings as well, touching those as well.

The Natu etchings don't seem to be animate... just drawn into the wall. Even still, the eyes seem to watch Merchant as he moves, clearly not alive but still unsettling.

Merchant hears a door opening in the room he came from.

Merchant immediately presses up against the wall, and attempts to peek out to see who walked in.

The shuffling of thick feet is heard, and they come closer to the door Merchant is peering out of... it's the Conkeldurr Jones mentioned earlier. It slings its tool belt at nearby desk, and heads toward the door to the room Merchant is in!

(Conkeldurr Perception: 16)

It doesn't quite notice Merchant's head as he retracts it.

Merchant's eyes go wide. Awwww shit.

He quickly scans the area and picking one of the support beams, he hides behind it, silently cursing to himself.

The door opens widely, and the Conkeldurr squeezes himself into the room, immediately moving for the table. It seems to stop and hurry along faster, presumably noticing the lack of a Sigilyph on the wall. It stops at the table, and pounds its fists on the woodwork! Looks like it was using those schematics. It quickly looks around the room, searching for where they may have gone.

(Conkeldurr Perception: 12)

It searches a few of the desks, but on the opposite side of the room from Merchant. The door is wide open...
