Theme Music is now mandatory The dank passageway turns quickly from stone to steel, and the built-in glowing lanterns have turned to primitive steampunk light bulbs. The corridor branches out, and the strangest sight thus far reveals itself: factories and machinery as far as the eye can see. Buckets of iron pipes and stone tools can be seen near the entrance, and light bulbs are present throughout the space that can be seen, though none are lit up... just as well, since this place must be ancient. A small, fenced courtyard occupies the area around this entrance, and beyond the massive gate arch, it's factories for hundreds of yards. Edited by BatiroAtrain, Mar 9 2014, 12:02 AM.

Around the room, there doesn't seem to be any traps. The pedestal is a different story though. With a careful look at the base, there's clearly a pressure plate under it... |

Inei looks around for a piece of rock or rubble that could weigh as much as the flask. He then tries to reenact a famous movie scene, by swiftly switching the flask with the rubble. Before Dusty can place a comment, Inei switches the container with a small rock. Everything looks fine, until Inei notices a small notch in the corner of the pressure plate, and a tiny bulge on the bottom of the container, near the edge. No deadly traps trigger, however; some iron bars merely drop on the door. That one was pretty well-hidden. |

The artifact is a small glass jar with a screw-on top, containing a golden liquid. It doesn't smell bad. There's also a small notch on the edge that keeps it from sitting right on a regular surface; presumably that would fit into the pedestal somewhere. Inei discerns that the aforementioned notch pushing into the pedestal would keep those bars raised. |
