Theme Music is now mandatory

The dank passageway turns quickly from stone to steel, and the built-in glowing lanterns have turned to primitive steampunk light bulbs. The corridor branches out, and the strangest sight thus far reveals itself: factories and machinery as far as the eye can see. Buckets of iron pipes and stone tools can be seen near the entrance, and light bulbs are present throughout the space that can be seen, though none are lit up... just as well, since this place must be ancient.

A small, fenced courtyard occupies the area around this entrance, and beyond the massive gate arch, it's factories for hundreds of yards.

"See? I'm on your side. Come with me and I will be able to protect you from people like him. I might even be able to rescue your friend."

Stefan does not interfere as they retreat. Instead he tries to use action to speak. Krieger plants himself in front of the door to discourage Jones' premature return.

Meanwhile, Stefan tends to the ashen remains of the flail, trying to assess the damage and glean more information.

Inei quickly tries to capture the kobold with a Pokeball, before the net breaks.

Stefan is able to find a charred base in the middle of all the ash... there's no remnants of an eye on this guy, though. The design widened as it grew an eye, but it's back to its original size. There's a chance it might not actually be dead, as far as he can tell. Maybe the spirit escaped as the flail was destroyed?

The weapons float at the broken seal, continuing to keep their collective eyes on the trainer.

Subdued from the tiny net, Inei snares himself a nice little Sableye! (17/24 HP/Docile/Keen Eye/1 Injury/knows Hone Claws as an egg move)

Stefan sighs. The damage was done. Perhaps the spirit could inhabit another weapon, but he had none on him.

He gingerly picks up the core of the flail and, with open hands, shows it to the weapons.

"I'm very sorry. His form is gone. . . But I think he still exists, waiting for another form." Stefan tucks the bit of metal away. "Please. Stay here and you'll be alone and in danger. Come with me and I can keep you safe. . . we can rescue the others."

Damage indeed; the weapons simply won't obey Stefan. Especially after the kidnap of their brother.

The bow floats to the ground, attempting to rest itself on the seal. The sword follows suit. They don't seem to perceive Stefan as a threat, but they still obviously don't want to come with him.

Stefan considers his situation. What did I do wrong? I played nice, I tried to do it peacefully. If I had wasted the breath telling Jones to release his hammer, he would have just destroyed another. And now he has one and I have none. . . I have to make this right.

Sighing, Stefan straightens up.

"I'll think of something. I'll be back. Let's go, Kriegs."
He turns and makes for the exit, expecting a rather belligerent Jones to be waiting for him. So be it. This needs to be resolved somehow.

Jones is waiting, an empty potion bottle in-hand. "So?" He looks rather irritated ad is rubbing gingerly at his shoulder where he'd gotten slammed. Inferno is next to him, the little mon finishing off what appears to be a Lemonade.

"So they're pissed."

Stefan is somewhat relieved that he wasn't met by a hammer to the face, but he's still feeling a bit angry.

"They are pissed because you destroyed one and captured another. I think the one that was in the flail is around still and would possess another weapon if we brought one. That might also be a good way to convince aforementioned angry ghost to leave your hammer. My next course of actions depends on what you do now."

"Stefan, the one I captured was essentially squatting in my hammer to begin with. I am rather attached to that hammer, it's one of the first major finds I made here; though I admit that I may have gone a bit too fast about seeing that it remained in my possession. As for destroying the other; let me think for a moment. We're obviously dealing with ghosts of some kind here..." Jones goes silent and thinks.

Stefan nods and lets Jones think, his temper slowly cooling. In the meantime he recalls Krieger and searches the room for anything that looks like it could be used to repair what's left of the flail. . . or even something that looks like it might be part of a weapon. These are things he may have overlooked before.
