Theme Music is now mandatory

The dank passageway turns quickly from stone to steel, and the built-in glowing lanterns have turned to primitive steampunk light bulbs. The corridor branches out, and the strangest sight thus far reveals itself: factories and machinery as far as the eye can see. Buckets of iron pipes and stone tools can be seen near the entrance, and light bulbs are present throughout the space that can be seen, though none are lit up... just as well, since this place must be ancient.

A small, fenced courtyard occupies the area around this entrance, and beyond the massive gate arch, it's factories for hundreds of yards.

The next closest building appears to be a larger factory, with a large opening towering many feet into the air, and a very wide one.

Popping into the building, it looks like some kind of primitive assembly line, with a conveyor belt in the middle that drops whatever it carries into a large basket at the end. A quick investigation yields nothing in the basket, but looking at all the tools around, this was definitely a tool workshop of some kind. No weapons, but there are small hammers and other primitive stone tools around.

Jones investigates the origin point for the conveyor belt, playing his flashlight over the areas that Neil and Inferno aren't illuminating as he does so.

At the beginning of the belt, there appears to be a small table covered in wooden hafts and stone heads of tools. They look like the heads are meant to pop on and stay with a bit of glue or something, but no such bonding agent is on the table... this would be a good place to craft some stuff if the need arose.

Jones takes a few minutes to take out the map he's been making, and update it. After he's finished, he'll idly pick up one of the hafts and the head for a tool, and pop it on, and then try to pop it back off again on a whim.

The haft and tool fit together snug, but only a bit of pressure is required to get it off again. Without some kind of bonding agent, the head of the tool seems like it would only stay on for a swing or two before popping off.

Jones shrugs, then looks around for any stairways or some other way up.

Jones doesn't spy much on the other side of the belt. As he turns around, he bumps his face into something squishy... which turns out to be the nose of a large Conkeldurr, staring him down. It looks to have a leather tool belt around its waist.

Jones very carefully backs up. "Ah, I apologize. I was simply looking around. This is a fascinating facility." Jones smiles at the fighting-type and gives a small bow.

(Vs Conkeldurr Intuition of 12)

The Conkeldurr looks at Jones gruffly, but moves past him, and picks up some of the tools on the work bench. With a heave, he pulls a small, red rock out of somewhere (his veins?), puts it in the head of one of the hammers, and snugs the haft into the handle. The Pokemon gives the hammer a smack on the table a few times, and the head doesn't come off. Success, apparently.

"Say, you've probably been here for a long time. Do you know what smashed up that stone door in the pump-room? Or where it leads?" Jones makes sure to keep his tone respectful.
