Theme Music is now mandatory

The dank passageway turns quickly from stone to steel, and the built-in glowing lanterns have turned to primitive steampunk light bulbs. The corridor branches out, and the strangest sight thus far reveals itself: factories and machinery as far as the eye can see. Buckets of iron pipes and stone tools can be seen near the entrance, and light bulbs are present throughout the space that can be seen, though none are lit up... just as well, since this place must be ancient.

A small, fenced courtyard occupies the area around this entrance, and beyond the massive gate arch, it's factories for hundreds of yards.

Stefan makes his way toward the Steelworks, and notices the variety of active cave-dwelling Pokemon. Looks like the place has livened up a bit, specifically with Geodude on the ground and Zubat on the ceiling. Nothing out of the ordinary. He finds a bunch of workbenches and barrels just out in the open, along with some ancient forging apparatuses.

Jones finds himself at the living quarters and offices... there's a nice big shed in the center, and a Conkeldurr hard at work making a barrel full of tools. Looks like it's crowbars today.

Stefan is no smith, but he takes a closer look at the workbenches and barrels before he passes them up.

Jones approaches the Conkeldurr. [color-brown]"Hello again sir. I'm sorry it took so long to report back, but you'll be happy to know that I not only cleared that passage as you'd asked, I even managed to deliver the pick to the Throh that was embossed on it. Unfortunately I'm now at a bit of a loss. There's an indentation that the Throh revealed, about the same size as one of these,"[/color] he holds out an expanded pokeball for the mon to see, "Unfortunately I have no idea what should be placed in the hollow; so I came to you to ask." He pauses for a long moment, and then coming to a decision... "I've also been to the clinic here; and I found something very strange. A heavily reinforced and locked door. I don't suppose you would happen to have the key? Or know where it is?" As always he is as respectful as possible to the old fighting-type.

Stefan doesn't find much on the benches; a bunch of half-baked, flimsy tools and weapons. What he finds in the barrels, though, is a rather ornate-looking flail! Weapons barrels are awesome! (1h, +1 DB, Slows on 18-20, ignores armor on 11-20)

From the variety of locked-up sheds and warehouses, Stefan also sees one, only one, that is not locked, but open as well.

The Conkeldurr looks at the familiar man, and apparently understanding the situation, opens a flap on his tool belt, and pulls out a positively MASSIVE stone key. The Conk can lift it with one hand, but as he passes it to Jones, it takes a ton of muscle for him to lift it with one alone. The key's made of incredibly dense rock, and despite the age, there's not a scratch on it, or any other sign of wear.

Stefan doesn't have much use for the flail, but perhaps Jones would. He tucks it away in his pack and warily approaches the open building.

Johns lets out a slight gasp, but manages to heft the key with both hands. "Thank you very much sir." He'll take his leave at that point. Does the key happen to have a ball-shape on the handle that matches the size of the socket in the room with the Throh? Either way he'll make his way to the steelworks, looking for Stefan. That clinic door was very well armored; best to have backup along.

Stefan enters the lone open building... and it's terribly dark inside, so much that Stefan can only see about five feet into the room. It would be hard to explore without the proper equipment.

The key doesn't have any kind of ball-shape to it; it's literally a giant key, like a 'key to the city' kind of thing. Just made of stone.

Jones gets himself to the steelworks, and after a bit of exploring, he finds the same building that Stefan has just popped into.

"Hey, Stefan, glad I caught up to you! I've got a favor to... woah, dark as Reverse World in here." Jones pauses and pulls out a pair of Darkvision goggles, strapping them on and taking a look around the gloomy area.

Stefan, mindful of Jones' altered vision with the goggles, switches on his flashlight.

"Hey, good to see you around too. . . ."

"Ah, but back to the reason I tracked you down. There's a clinic here in the Factories; it's where I found that egg that hatched into the Snubull. There's also a door there; very heavily reinforced. The Smith was kind enough to give me the key; and considering how much armor is on that door, I thought it best to seek out some backup in case of anything that could overwhelm me and my team on our own being behind it. Interested in helping me out?"
