Pipe Works

The underwater tunnel goes not even twenty feet out before curving sharply downward. The square architecture has evened out, turning into less of a tunnel and more of a pipe. It descends for a long ways, but strangely enough, there are boxes in the walls that hold some kind of glowing matter, providing light in the strange pipe corridor.

The path itself is about two meters in diameter, large enough to fit two comfortably, four in a tight space. The heat is still present, but drops in intensity the further down one goes.

Jones soldiers on, keeping a wary eye out.

The pipe continues on... nothing of note is around. The little lanterns are glowing red, though..

After a while of swimming downward, however, the corridor spans out suddenly, into a rectangle-shaped room. This underwater room is medium-sized, and from where Jones enters from the top of the 'front' side, there appears to be a mass of something on the side opposite, against the short wall. It looks like... a moon.

Jones releases Ursula to float beside him as he cautiously approaches the mass. If it doesn't react, he'll examine it closely.

As Jones approaches the moon, it appears to be a stone carving that juts out from the wall... except for the eyes that follow Jones's movements. Closer inspection makes it seem like a Lunatone, but it's not the light brown most Lunatone are. This seems familiar...

Jones studies the creature for a long moment. "To risk or not to risk..."' He shrugs, and plucks a pokeball from his belt. This creature would be an incredibly powerful asset to his team. And perhaps it was blocking the way to another chamber... He tosses the pokeball at it, but stands ready to give Ursula a command if the initial capture fails.

The ball is thrown... but loses momentum immediately and drifts harmlessly due to being underwater. In a situation like this, it seems like a Poke Ball must be physically pushed into the target...

A quick push into the Lunatone yields little success, as the stone moon is not even drawn into the ball... instead, it looks curiously at the sphere this strange diving man rubbed against it.

Jones gives a small grin, and gently taps the pokeball against the Lunatone again. "This won't hurt a bit."

The Lunatone clearly doesn't give two shits... and because of this, it does not struggle when the ball actually works.

Shiftytone

The space where the Lunatone jutted out is hollow, and leads further down a new pipe tunnel.

Jones continues ahead into the new tunnel, gesturing for Ursula to follow him, even as he clips Neil's pokeball to his belt. Best to keep him under wraps until he could explain the new paradigm better after all.
