Theme music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JaPf-MRKITg Spoiler: click to toggle A decently large tent is built into the rock wall of the Antechamber. A sign hangs above it with thick, block letters that says The Back Alley. The inside is roomy and nice, with a small bar built across the back, where Merchant sits with tools and Pokeballs for sale. Various tables dot the room, where people can mingle and relax (and do business). A back room sits behind the bar, but nobody has ever seen, much less been, inside. A large blackboard hangs above him, with deals and offers written across it. Jones enters the tent, looking over at Merchant curiously. "Say, you're interested in medical phenomena, right?" |

Merchant nods. "Merchant is not particularly versed in Medicine, but any phenomena is of interest." |

Jones pulls out a crude glass syringe and ampule, some form of residue clinging to the interior of the glass. "I found this down in the Steam Factories, along with some pretty damning evidence of human experimentation. I gave the researchers some more residue that I collected, but I thought you might be interested in this as well. Perhaps able to make something useful out of it with some proper study." |

Merchant analyzes the items. "Merchant is far more learned on Pokemon than Human but..." He looks at the items, scanning what might be in them. Merchant is unsure what the heck kind of medicine this is... though it does appear to be derived from the venom of a Poison-type Pokemon. It's hard to say which one, though. |

Merchant makes a clicking noise of annoyance. "A venom of some type. Merchant wishes to know if you found remains of any poisonous pokemon?" |

Jones shakes his head. "It was inside the clinic in a locked room. Just human remains, no mon. Maybe they were trying to create an antidote?" Jones doesn't look like he believes his own suggestion. |

Merchant swishes around the vial. "Antidotes are made in public. Poisons are made in private. Merchant is highly suspicious of the original meaning of this Pyramid." Merchant looks carefully at Jones. "By delivering the residue you may have unleashed a potent biological weapon to the company funding this. Merchant's advice is go to the lab and destroy everything." Merchant's voice takes on a serious tone, far and away from his normal sleazy businessman demeanor. He leans over, speaking low. "The dangers of the pyramid will increase from here on. Be careful what you give away. One wrong step and this world may be put on the path to ruin." Merchant pauses before straightening up and returning to his normal voice. "Merchant wishes to know if you might know Stephens location? Merchant has an item he must deliver." |

Jones shudders as he considers the implications of what he's done. "I'm not stealthy enough to get past the guards without being spotted. And I have no idea where I'd start looking for their files and information. They've had the stuff for a day, there's not telling where it is anymore." He scrubs his face with his hands. "As for Stefan, he's down in the Pyramid, showing around one of the new explorers; a Colonel of some sort. Said they were going to the Greenhouse, but I've no idea where they might be now. Best bet is to wait for them to come out. It's getting dark soon, and I doubt that they're going to want to get shut inside overnight." He pauses. "Merchant, do you know how to carve Apricorns by any chance? Should Reya and I succeed in our endeavor, we're still going to need to get at least one of the spoils carved into a proper ball I think." |

Merchant shakes his head. "Apricorn carving is not difficult, but Merchant only has experience with modern balls. Techniques even older such as that will need more experienced crafters. As for the research, with the amount given all that is left is hope it does not come to fruition. Perhaps further investigation may prove useful in finding out the basis of such experimentation. Tomorrow Merchant will investigate the Steam factory. Today..." Merchant opens a Pokeball, Doduo popping out, looking around baffled at the new area. "Merchant will aquire the golden apricorns with Meganium. With Doduo he should be able to get in and out in time. Perhaps two pidgey can be finished with one Geodude if you can find someone to carve them when he returns." |
