DAY IV

The Antechamber seems strangely more alive this fourth morning. A few faces aside from the typical researchers are spotted in the Antechamber crowd... younger faces, it seems.

The shops are all open for business!

Stefan snatches up his pokeball and slips on his sneakers. He doubted his intervention would be needed on account of the Aggron and Machamp that were present in the chamber, but he certainly wouldn't mind squashing a bug or two if the opportunity presented it. He approaches the group, but lets the others explain the situation.

Jones comes to a stop, crossing his arms and glaring daggers at the kids. "This is a closed archeological research site. May I see your qualifications to participate?" His tone could give an Articuno frostburn. Digger hisses and Inferno smirks wickedly from over his trainer's shoulder.

Fir flashes the two trainers speaking up a look that seems to say 'shut up I got this'. He turns back to the children with the same annoyance. "You three need to go, now."

The primary youngster lurches forward suddenly. "But you have to let us! The Pokemon here are soooooo cool!" The intimidation is clearly heard in his voice, and the two other children show their nervousness with their body language.

Fir is on the verge of blowing a gasket, and rather than yelling once again, turns to the gathered trainers. "Talk some sense into them," he half-yells. "I've got better things to do than play babysitter!" He walks off, agitated beyond belief.

Jones steps forward. "The pokemon here may be cool, but they're also incredibly dangerous, and they aren't always what they seem. I have nearly been burned alive, drowned, and very nearly eaten by the pokemon in here. This place is incredibly dangerous. We're all specialists here." He points at Stefan, Merchant, Jason and himself in turn. "Specialist Trainer, Specialist in capturing mon, Trained Martial Artist, and trained Archeologist."

Jason glanced at the kids once more and once they mentioned that the pokemon were 'cool' he was already done with them. Such a hollow reason to want to do something. Instead he stepped back into his tent to get ready for the day, letting Jones do all the talking.

The yellow-hat kid gets up in Jones's face! "We're specialists too! Check it out!" The yellow kid throws down a ball, deploying his Clefairy. "See, space ace!"

The net-wielding kid and the hefty kid pull out some balls, following their leader apparently, and deploy their own Pokemon, a Butterfree and a Bonsly, respectively. They don't seem very threatening... more like they want to show off their Pokemon, like they're special or something.

Jones pinches the bridge of his nose. "Alright then, at which university did you study, who are your references, and how can I contact them? And while they are some decent pokemon, how many more do you have?" He taps the nearly full set of carriers on his belt, and indicates both Digger and Inferno, who is now floating curiously around the trio of pokemon, pulling faces and flaring up his flames at random intervals. "Inferno, stop that please." The Gastly pulls one final grotesque face before moving back to Jones' shoulder.

Oh... well, money might be off the table, but he was always open to new pokemon.

"Merchant does not do charity work, like keeping children alive or getting rid of them.
However, should children be interested in new pokemon, they should come to his tent...and bring something to offer."

With that, Merchant walks away. He breifly stops by Stephen, giving him the money from the previous night's sales (3220 Pyen), before going to his tent.

After getting dressed and everything that he needed, Jason walked out of his tent and glanced at the trio of pokemon that were pulled out. He squinted a little bit before shaking his head and heading towards the pyramid.

Stefan continues to close the distance after accepting the stack of bills from his business partner. He still had to collect the breeding stock he had loaned the merchant too. For the moment, though he focuses on the kids. Jones didn't appear to be getting through to them. He released Krieger and whispered a command as he planned his move.

Krieger uses Iron Defense.
Stefan uses intuition to try and gauge the challenge their Pokemon would pose, either collectively or individually. [result]13&6:4,2d6,3,13&2d6+3[/result]
