Yes, readers can basically see all the separate individualized and private threads, as well as notes that are set so only certain players can read them. It's mainly so Readers can follow stuff if the group gets split up and stuff is being kept behind the scenes for certain PCs, and know what's going on. |

Yeah, the GM was really ticked off by it and even considered shutting down the game (which is closing on two-years running). Thankfully he booted the player and their reader account, and brought me in to take over the PC instead. It's kind of an ill-fit to my usual playstyle but thanks to some serious gaps in the guys backstory (he has amnesia) and some creative interpretation on my part on top of a transition to PTU that the GM is making, I'm hoping I can bring him more in line with what I'm more comfortable playing; which is more support role as opposed to pure combatant that the original player seemed to be aiming for. Just have to get the nod from the GM, and he's pretty accommodating. |

I know this Thread hasn't even been replied to in a while, but in my defense I just came across it now. As such, here is my contribution. Things my players are no longer allowed to do/things I am forced to do due to players in the past 1) If anyone finds a Ralts, it will be male, Adamant/Jolly, and a Dawn Stone will be found shortly after. I have seriously had three of "those types" of players. 1a) If I allow a Gardevoir to happen and the player gets creepy about it, shortly after a life-threatening encounter will happen, during which the Gardevoir WILL sacrifice itself. 1b) If things get creepy with a Gallade, everything on the Ralts line will be banned. 1c) If said players later ask for a Buneary line Pokemon, the answer is either no, or the player is killed in the most brutal of fashions. 2) Just because we are talking to/fighting a Legendary does NOT mean you can kill it and attempt some sort of dark ritual to become an Usurper by default. 3) No, you cannot have a Scyther as a Starter. Not even if the first Gym is a Rock Type Gym. 4) Any Character or Pokemon based on Jack the Ripper is instantly vetoed. 5) Elementalist Powers are a Privilege, not a Right. 6) Any Chaotic/Neutral Fire Elementalist with Pyromanical Tendancies will instantly be vetoed. 7) Playing Rock/Paper/Scissors In Character over who gets to catch the Legendary in a fight is generally frowned upon by the GM if it becomes a regular thing. The first time is funny. After that it gets stupid. 8) Male Coordinators, despite evidence to the contrary, are not all gay. 9) Telekinesis is a Privilege, not a Right. If it is abused to flip nearby girls skirts, they will all begin to wear nothing but cargo pants. In unflattering colors. 9a) This also goes for pretty much anything that can perform such a feat. Including Guster, and Pokemon being talked into doing such acts. 10) You cannot use Psychic Powers to cheat at a Casino to get that Porygon you want. 11) If every female NPC I create and present is greeted by the response of "Hot/I'd hit that", or any variation of that, the world will suddenly all become male because Arceus says so. 12) Being a Photographer does not give you the right to try and sneak into any sort of room involving members of the opposite gender being naked. 12a) Especially if important plot things are happening at the moment. Things I am not allowed to do as a Player 1) I am no longer allowed to use Espeon. 2) I am no longer allowed to use Shuckle. 3) I am no longer allowed to have Quagsire and Girafarig on the same team. 4) I am no longer allowed to use Klefki. 5) I am no longer allowed to use Slaking and ANY Pokemon with Skill Swap. Ever. Until the end of time. Even with 100% randomized selections using 2D4-1 (or however many Abilities Slaking had), I was Skill Swapping Truant 75% of the time. The worst time was with a Protean Kecleon. When I actually got Protean onto Slaking. I think that GM had nightmares for a week. 6) I will not name my Squirtle Kamina and give it triangle shades. That wasn't funny the first time. 6a) I will also not name my Squirtle any of the following: Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, or Raphael. These jokes also weren't funny the first time. 6b) I will also not get a Drilbur and name it Simon. The same applies to Ryhorn, or any other Pokemon with Drill Run, or Horn Drill. 7) I am no longer allowed to play the Coordinator Class in PTA while also having Coach. 7a) This is doubly so if I have more than 3 Pass moves. I will abuse the crap out of "You Call That Impressive" and "Faster" whenever possible. Heck, I'll just abuse "Faster" and Pass moves. 8) My Martial Artist may not go Super Saiyan. Ever. 9) In PTA, being a Dirty Fighter does not mean all I can ever do is kick people in the groin. 10) It is generally frowned upon for the Medic to try and extort payment out of other party members for their services. |

A Man Of Heart

I find this both amusing and disturbing. Of course not. Clearly, this was a man after my own heart. If a player could make the absurd skill rolls I would demand for this, I would reward them for finding a clever solution. Then send in security. Even the players? What better time to go peeping than when the party is in need of your unique photography skills? There are stories here, I can tell. I wish to hear them. Been there, done that, currently in the process of trying to get him type shifted so he can learn "Drill Run". Why not? It's brutally effective, and eventually people will be expecting it, so the AC checks will get harder. "Don't be such a baby. Ribs grow back!" |

Yes, even female PC's. And thanks, DNA, for your sympathy. I'll elaborate on the Pokemon (I have a TERRIBLE habit, intentional or not, of forcing a GM to go for an offensive approach early in the game and planning Encounters around that for a while, then swapping to a more... tricky approach somewhere along the lines, so there's always at least one or two encounters that I absolutely wreck using "support/cripple/status" Pokemon). Espeon with Magic Bounce and invested in bulk will eventually gain enough boosts to Baton Pass onto something more terrifying, or worse, utilize Stored Power. Magic Bounce is more balanced here than in the main games, but it's still a good way to stop a Taunt user in its tracks. It also gets Dual Screens. Yes, due to the 3 TM/Tutor move limit, I have to make decisions, but I always seem to get VERY lucky when it comes to using it... have you ever Baton Passed +3 +3 from Calm Mind onto a Megazard Y? I have, and it was glorious. Shuckle... just... don't f***le with it. It automatically has 4 Defense and Special Defense Evasion, and you can pretty much fully invest in HP after a point, which is... terrifying. It can just... stall like no other Pokemon I know besides Chansey/Blissey. Infestation is also terrifying. And the thing has STURDY, so there's no oneshotting it. Klefki, just... everything that is Klefki. So many moves to abuse, and it's got ACCEPTABLE bulk, and only two weaknesses. I mainly abused Foul Play/Spikes/Torment, then Switcheroo/Thunder Wave/Swagger. I normally put a Toxic Orb on it to abuse with Switcheroo, as if I don't get it off of me on turn 1, it's not like it's gonna hurt me. And yeah, Foul Play is its only offensive option and can only be used twice per scene, but it's usually enough to put a dent in the enemy team, and the rest is enough to cripple them enough to let a sweeper, well, sweep. Quagsire and Girafarig is an issue due to Skill Swapping Sap Sipper potentially. Which happened not once, not twice, but on THREE separate encounters. Quagsire is bulky enough normally to give very few craps about damage, but then throw in a Grass immunity and you have a formula for pure terror if the opponent doesn't have Mold Breaker. And yes. A lot of these are me getting lucky over and over (and in PTU these Pokemon are a LOT more luck based with these specific strategies (mainly due to move frequency, and Ability frequency) than in the main games, mind you. Klefki, Espeon, and Shuckle specifically), but... that's another part of why it was banned for me. I'm sure if I crit all the time on a Pichu with Super Effective Attacks it'd be banned too. That all being said, I actually have a new item for my players, thanks to my best friend of all people bringing it up over and over while making his Capture Specialist. Just because Tools of the Trade gives you what is essentially Proficiency with Glue Cannons, doesn't mean you can shoot it literally from the hip and... yeah I think we get where this one's going. Coating people and pokemon in glue from your cannon. |

Things my players should note when I'm GM 1) Don't say 'I wish it isn't x' because, yeah it most likely IS. 2) Never turn Zygarde into a giant Magikarp 3) Never ignore your party member when he stands outside of the abandoned hospital and says 'Guys.. It's still day out here.' 4) If it seems obvious it most likely is, ignoring the obvious kills party members. 5) Stop thinking every puzzle I make is obvious when it isn't, it could get you killed. 6) Never sell your soul to Cresselia, no matter the circumstance. 7) If something sounds gribbly and evil, don't turn to look at it.. Run. 8) Never get too attached to your characters... I don't want to reduce someone to tears.. AGAIN.. 9) If something is scary, covered in darkness and chained.. Don't free it. 10) Just because you can scale a building doesn't mean you should! 11) Carrying someone while scaling a building is also very impractical. 12) Always remember Totodiles are good ways to dispose of bodies. May add more later lol. |

I've been meaning to update this since it ended a month ago. 13) If you honestly believe the Cyborg was hit by that Status Condition instead of using Lock-on, you deserve the ensuing Zap Cannon. 14) We're never allowed near the Eon duo ever again. 15) Our Glitch Bender is never allowed near... Anything Legendary ever again. 16) Our Cyborg's Charm is NOT high enough to convince our Harp-based Musician to play Heavy Metal through a subway system's intercom. 17) Intimidating the incarnation of fear successfully is a paradox and should never be repeated. 18) Kill, destroy, maim, taunt is indeed the battle plan, regardless of the Glitch Bender's protests. 19) Jirachi is no longer allowed to grant moves as a wish. 19a) By extension, Jirachi is no longer allowed to grant Adaptability as a wish. 20) When the Glitch Bender says his Shuckle is immortal, the GM is not allowed to prove him right. 21) Just because the Pokéthrope has only one Pokémon (Not including himself) does not mean his Pokémon isn't a badass in it's own right. Trying to disprove this will only lead to complications. 21a) By extension the Pokéthrope, and all other players, are not allowed to get their entire party by looting them. 22) Spending two turns to move into Melee range just to beat down Kyogre is a complete waste of time when you have Ranged moves available that are MUCH stronger. 23) The Glitch Bender is never allowed to use Guile to convince a Legendary to swap sides. 23a) The Glitch Bender is not allowed to complain when Arceus smites Groudon for defecting to our side. 24) No, the Pokéthrope can't intimidate Arcyrus. Stop trying. 25) Nobody in this campaign is ever allowed to forget the time we spent together. Great game, folks. |
