1) No longer allowed to skip a giant bug swarm battle through my own bug Pokemon's diplomatic skills.
1a) Twice.
2) No longer allowed to sic a giant bug swarm onto our enemies.
2a) Not allowed to justify this with "the characters I know about are saved!"
2b) Not allowed to justify this by finding a solution where no one has to die after already making the decision to send them after our enemies.
2c) The rogue/pirate should not be guiding the group's moral compass!

For the players:

  • Rolling the highest possible number will not guarantee success.
  • Chaotic alignments are not an excuse to cause mass chaos. Act out antisocial behavior elsewhere.
  • Any attempt to use psychic powers to seduce an NPC- especially one from the anime/video games- will result in you getting kicked faster than a soccer ball.
  • Any (and I do mean any) attempt to reproduce with any member of the Ralts family will result in the immediate and violent removal of your reproductive organs, regardless of whether or not you have the Breeder edge and/or your plan and/or gender. Any attempt to regain said organs and repeat the procedure will result in the Ralts line going extinct regionwide, as well as a second violent removal of your reproductive organs. This also goes for any family you think you'll have a chance at seducing, including but not limited to Meloetta and the Buneary family.
  • Knowing the moves Harden, Pound, and String Shot/Sticky String do not give you the license and/or ability to seduce anything you see.
  • Any attempt to pull an Old Man Henderson without my knowledge or approval will result in a declaration of war from me. Do not test me on this.
  • Slipping psychedelic berries/plants into your friends' food will result in them automatically knowing it was your fault. You'll be given until the effects wear off to run, and then you'll be at your victim's mercy.
  • Character suicide is forbidden, especially when it is to give you an excuse to try something new.
  • Killing fellow PCs is forbidden, except in certain circumstances where the other PCs agree to it.
  • No means no- whether from me or an NPC.
  • Throwing a fellow PC across a large gap not longer a viable strategy for crossing it.
  • Rules are not made to be broken.

For me:

  • I will not explode my friend's house without his permission.
  • I will not initiate a mass release of the most dangerous felons in the world to cover up my escape from prison.
  • I will not spike the ice cream.
  • I will not abuse my Researcher class features to clone an army of Mewtwos and attempt world domination.
  • I will not try to find a way to destroy psionics to defeat the psychic Gym Leader.
  • I will not make Plan B "Kill everything in sight."
  • When given a large reward from an evil tyrant, I will not negotiate for a larger amount.
  • Grenades and pineapples are not interchangeable.
  • The fact that I'm smarter than the rest of the PCs combined does not mean I'm irreplaceable.
  • Having psychic powers does not mean I can turn the rest of the party into my psychic slaves.

Sounds like there's some stories behind those rules. Share?
Some of them are from games other than PTU (the exploding house is from a Call of Cthulhu game I'm playing right now) while others are based on my own experiences as a player (yes, I did try the Gardevoir thing just for the reactions from my brother the GM, and yes, the punishments described are exactly what he meted out) and a GM (I did not GM the Old Man Henderson game, but I GM'd with a player who did. When I saw the signs of Henderson creeping in, I cornered him and demanded he tell me exactly why he was doing that. When I determined that it was for fun, I allowed it. I did try to kill the character off with the player's permission, but, like Henderson, he was too tough to crush. As I recall, he allowed the party to be sucked into the void to ensure that the evil they had just put in a can remained sealed, while he went home with their money to party.)

The following stories are specifically from PTU:
The Researcher character (yes, the one with the Gardevoir fetish), after losing his manly bits, decided world domination was easier than human-Pokemon crossbreeding and set about exploring ruins until he recovered a sample of Mew's DNA. He took it home and successfully cloned a baby Mewtwo. Flush with success, he set off to collect more DNA and make more Mewtwos. This resulted in no less than two dozen baby Mewtwos before some errant teenage heroes stopped him and sent him to prison, where he languishes to this day.

The Psychic Gym Leader fiasco came after the Researcher. The elemental powers of Pokemon moves were derived from "generators" (for lack of a better word) that took the shape of giant mystical crystals. When my occultist/ace trainer realized that he couldn't beat the Psychic Gym Leader, he assembled his most powerful Pokemon and hunted through legends to find the source of Psychic power- which he did, and he destroyed it. Chaos ensued as the world was thrown out of balance, and he had to reassemble the crystal before the world was destroyed. He did try to get the Gym Badge while there was no psychic power, but when he accidentally revealed exactly why there was no psychic power, he was run out of town by an angry mob of former psychics. He never got the badge.

The rest are from my D&D or Call of Cthulhu games (I did try to assassinate a high priest of Hastur with a literal pineapple, and, amazingly enough, I succeeded; in retrospect, though, I should have asked the GM for clarification as to whether the "pineapples" the cultists were referring to were grenades or literal pineapples.)
