The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

Oz nods in thanks. Though it was certainly a successful day, the time has come for him to return to base camp as well.

His suit vanishing once more, he attempts to make it back without incident.

... But before Oz makes it all the way back, he turns back, remembering to pick up any of his Pokeballs that might still be functional.

After hearing how much time he had to explore, Jason headed back to the Grotto, moving towards the water once more before diving into the water once more.

Jason dives headfirst into the water, catching a glimpse of the usual Horsea nestled at the bottom of his vision. They scatter at his splash, though no Koffing are seen down below yet. Only fearful Horsea and the endless stretch of buildings into the abyssal level.

Jason glanced around a little bit and surfaced before swimming out towards the buildings, hoping to find one with a solid interior.

Merchant takes in the sight of the massive lake, and looks around for any movement.

"Perhaps Merchant should have special ordered fishing poles."

Jason swims further off, unaware of Merchant and Stefan's entrance into the area. He finds himself looking around a thick conglomerate of buildings, and spots two particularly inviting entrances: one on a window quite high up on a second-story floor, and another in a crevice carved into an opposite building under sea level.

Merchant spies a few Horsea drifting at the edge of the wall, as well as some distant shadows much farther out. More fish, presumably.

Surfacing just long enough to get some air, Jason looked around. Noticing the crevice in the side of a building, he swam inside the building, looking around, hoping to find something of value, whether to train with or to get some money for more training.

Stefan is a few moments behind Merchant. He gives a low whistle.

"I'll admit, i thought there would be a little more land. You want to see if there is anything on those roofs or shall we jump in and try and catch some Pokemon?"

He eyes Merchants clothes with some skepticism.
