The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

(4) Sketchtail misses; the Octillery is too pained to move.

The ball hits the Cryogonal, but fails to deploy; in fact, it breaks in half and floats up to the surface. (Bad cap roll)
(12) The snowflake remains asleep.

Jones snags the ball and examines the area the Aquanogal was defending with his flashlight.

(44) Jones dusts the area thoroughly; after some careful examining, he pulls up something the Cryogonal may or may not have been guarding. It's a Heart Scale!

Barnaby's ball hits the Octillery square, and it's captured! (15/Docile/Sniper/13 HP/2 Injuries/knows homebrew move Stun Ink, details will go in OOC shortly)

A never-before seen move? WHAT A FIND! Barnaby was going to get to the bottom of this unique occurrence of power development. Micro-evolution at its finest!

He is so proud that he almost forgets about the Remoraid and Seaking. He quickly looks through the water to check if the battle scared them off, and if so continues on his path towards the ice sheet.

Jones considers his latest find, before nodding, putting it in a pouch with the pearl, and changing course. Instead of continuing towards the ice-slab, he begins to head towards one of the submerged buildings, looking for any access points that he can enter to investigate.

(Whoops, 17/Patient/Levitate/32 HP/1 Injury)

(8) Jones's search in the downtown sector yields little favorable results. The only entrance he can find is a crack at the very bottom of a building, one he would have to combat-crawl through to get in. It doesn't look like there's even any room to kneel.

The two fish Barnaby found are long-gone. It's clear sailing toward the ice sheet!

(32) The Colonel finds a place to pull himself up; a low floating plate that can be used to climb higher, onto the main glacial sheet.

Jones considers the crack for a moment, before nodding to himself. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. He recalls Neil, and begins to crawl through the space, flashlight illuminating whatever may be in his path as he wriggles his way through the crack.
