The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

The snowflake is finally hit, but it doesn't affect him much; he looks a lot better than Neil does at this point.

It casts another Icy Wind at the moon. [result]11&11,1d20,0,11&1d20[/result] [result]32&2:7,2d8,23,32&2d8+23[/result] Ice Special (-1 Speed CS, forgot to mention)

Neil is looking rather battered, though the wave of cold didn't seem to do much, he's being plinked away at between the attacks and the whirlpool. Jones draws out a Super Potion, and prepares to use it on the Lunatone as soon as he breaks free from the vortex. "You're doing great Neil, keep up the pressure!"

Spotting the additional target in the darkness, the Cryogonal spirals around Neil, avoiding his attack, and swirls into Jones with a spiraling tackle!

Dustermuch is quickly taken down a couple notches by the potent attack! Rather than fight with a less-than fit pokemon, Barnaby swaps out his offense for Stagstrong, performing a skyward Stomp on the kraken monster!

Stomp AC Check(2, Flinch on 15): [result]9&9,1d20,0,9&1d20[/result]
Stomp Damage Roll (+10 Smaller Pokemon): [result]45&1:6,2d10,38,45&2d10+38[/result]

Jones lets out a grunt as the Cryonogal slams into him, and his eyes narrow. "So that's how you want to play is it?" With that he sucker-punches the living ice crystal!
Feint Attack: [roll]1d20]
Damage: [result]22&1:5,2d6,16,22&2d6+16[/result]

Neil, seeing his trainer actually getting into the fight, attempts to blast the thing from the back in order to grab its attention!
AC 2: [result]3&3,1d20,0,3&1d20[/result]
Damage: [result]38&5:6,2d6,27,38&2d6+27[/result]
Vortex: [result]12&12,1d20,0,12&1d20[/result]

(Wow Octillery is tiny)

The Octillery is hammered hard, and falls limp into the water. (Massive Damage; Paralysis 10) It somehow gets up from the blow and shoots Stagstrong full of ice and light! Aurora Beam: [result]18&18,1d20,0,18&1d20[/result] [result]33&1:3,2d6,29,33&2d6+29[/result] Ice Special, -1 ATK CS 18-20

The dark punch cracks off a piece of the Cryogonal's shell; unfortunately, this pushes it out of the way of Neil's assault. Another Icy Wind sweeps up, this time at Jones! [result]10&10,1d20,0,10&1d20[/result] [result]33&7:3,2d8,23,33&2d8+23[/result] Ice Special, -1 SPD CS

Jones lets out a grunt as he hears one of his ribs give a strange sound. Probably bruised if not broken outright. "Neil, help!" Thankfully Neil had managed to get out of the vortex at last, and interposed himself between his trainer and the Cyronogal. Jones takes the opportunity to tag him with the Super Potion that he'd taken out earlier. Neil's eyes glow as he attempts to put the ice-type to sleep.
Hypnosis AC 6: [result]19&19,1d20,0,19&1d20[/result]

One more swap; Barnaby recalls the frosted Stagstrong in favor of his signature finisher, Sketchtail.

Again coming from the sky, Sketchtail delivers a false swipe to send the injured octopus to its final limits.

False Swipe AC Check (2): [result]1&1,1d20,0,1&1d20[/result]
False Swipe Damage Roll (Can't hit below 1 HP): [result]36&3:5,2d6,28,36&2d6+28[/result]

Jones pulls out his second to last ball, and glares at the Cryogonal. "Here goes everything."
