The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

Jason was feeling a bit worn at this point but he couldn't give up. He had to get this thing back into the light.

Jason moved in to attempt a final grab before moving to the surface to recover if he missed.

Jason managed to dodge the blast of acid before beginning to drag the tentacruel back towards the surface, to the waiting Makuhita.

(Combat: 9)

The Tentacruel can barely resist being dragged up, and is hauled all the way to the surface, even! The two Makuhita move in to bring the pain!

Once the Tentacruel was in the light, Jason threw a fist at the creature, hoping to weaken it some more.

(Combat 16, Paralysis 10)

The Tentacruel is on its very last legs, and fires one more blast of Acid. [result]13&13,1d20,0,13&1d20[/result] [result]28&6:1,2d6,21,28&2d6+21[/result]

The two Makuhita hesitate moving, sensing the Tentacruel's imminent defeat. They graciously allow their master the final blow.

Taking the hit from the Tentacruel, Jason struggled a bit before righting himself and moving in for one final blow.

Jason winds up for a knockout punch, and... whiffs hard.

The Tentacruel blinks. It responds with a Poison Sting in Jason's face. [result]7&7,1d20,0,7&1d20[/result] [result]13&3,1d8,10,13&1d8+10[/result] Poison 17-20

The Makuhita are also shocked... and rather unimpressed.

Jason was getting fed up with all of this and wound back once more for a giant punch towards the Tentacruel, hoping to knock it out for good.
