The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing. The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level. Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes? |

Merchant frowns. What a waste... Well, whatever. Might as well try once more. He baits the waters again, hoping for a better catch this time. |

Merchant waits... and waits... and waits... eventually, the bait completely dissolves in the water. Womp womp. |

Merchant grumbles. Worth a shot. He decides to investigate where the swarms of wooper came from before, and heads in the direction they came from when they swarmed. |

Again, the route is easy to remember, and Merchant comes upon the trifecta of buildings. The platform Merchant stands on links to the top of the building the Wooper swarm came from, due to Jones's zip line. |

Merchant makes his way to the building via stairs, not ballsy enough to try to climb a zipline. He keeps his eyes open for any signs of life nearby, not wanting to be caught unaware. |

Entering the ziplined building, Merchant sees what must have started the horde: a giant chandelier sitting atop two crushed Wooper, at the end of a small strip of floor. Their blood has long since been washed away by the small current reaching up Merchant's feet, and a ladder on the side of the room leads up to what USED to be the second floor. All that's left is a small chunk of platform next to the ladder. |

Merchant takes a chunk of the wooper, storing it away for potential use later. The rest, he tosses into the water, and hides in wait nearby. [result]14&2:6:4,3d6,2,14&3d6+2[/result] |

The blood doesn't take very long to attract a gang of Water Pokemon... violent ones. They eat up the Wooper guts in no time flat. Merchant catches a glimpse of their bodies as they do so, and it seems to be a school of three Basculin! |
