The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

The spore cloud infests the water nearest the Koffing, and the water is sucked into its innards, paralyzing it!

One of the Tentacool breaks free from the mob of Pokemon, and fires a wild jet of hazardous goo at the nearest targets... which happens to be Chef and his Munchlax!

Merchant tosses a ball at the paralyzed Koffing before GTFO'ing up the archway, not wanting any part of the chaos.

"Plant, put Jellyfish to sleep."

The Bellsprout wobbles over, and sprays a fume of gas at the tentecruel.

Stefan releases Panzer into the mix, next to the chef they were there to protect.

"Get back, sir!"

While the Wooper are content to roll around without a malicious thought in their mind, the two Koffing hop as close to the platform's edge as they can, one a bit slower than the other. They launch a flurry of Bubbles against Stefan and Donner!

The Chef is a little stirred by the shots of Acid. "I do not appreciate you, squid!" Despite grueling conditions, the Chef continues working on the cage, undeterred by shots of volatile acid. His Munchlax quickly springs into action! The Munchlax leaps at the Tentacool in the water... and licks it.

Seeing the tentacool slumbering deeply, Stefan orders Donner to stun the other koffing, as the mossy mouse tries to dance through the barrage of bubbles.

The burst of spores puffs harmlessly into the air, rising above the water as a result of the Chu's bad aim. Meanwhile, the lone Tentacool is fast asleep in the hectic waters...
