The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

Jones studies the frothing mass, and frowns. He'd merely wanted to keep the Wooper from being picked off by the Tentacool. But now the 'cool were the ones in danger of being picked off... He sighs and releases Moby. "Listen, I know we didn't get off on a good foot to start with, but I've got a favor to ask. Start using Grasswhistle on those Wooper down there. Just put enough of them to sleep for the Tentacool to make a break for it. Alright?" The giant sunflower looks stubborn for a moment, before sighing and pursing his lips together. A sweet whistling noise pours forth, aimed at the closest Wooper.

Merchant stands back and watches the waters while Chef does his thing, searching for movements.

Stefan calls out Donner and scans the water. This is the part in the movies where an enormous Sharpedo leaps out and devours the hapless victim.

The Chef jumps heartily from one point to the next, and stops at the beginning of the archway. He pauses for a brief moment, and as if from nowhere, slams down a cage that dips halfway into the water. "Crab trap. Takes a while to set up."

He quickly moves to the side, setting another trap down. "This place needs many traps... make sure area is safe while I deploy." The Chef glances at his Munchlax, who nods and runs to Merchant and Stefan. "Place like this, anything is possible."

As the Chef is talking, a few shadows move about in the water on the opposite side of where Chef is laying traps. Circular shadows... they rise to the surface, with aquatic Koffing peeking up to greet the two adventurers.

Meanwhile, the Grasswhistle does not effect the mob of frantic Water Pokemon, and they move away from Jones's building... toward the archway, where two men stand, and one is kneeling with a cage.

"Oh son of a! LOOK OUT! Jones yells at the three. He'll try and follow after the Wooper Swarm, recalling Moby as he goes.

As a note, Jones is using the zipline he's created to move.

Merchant surveys the chaotic scenery. Watery Koffings and a horde of wooper...

Now a master of the duel throw, Merchant tosses out a Bellsprout and lobs an empty one at a Koffing. Maybe a quick early cap will scare it off.

Release Bellsprout between me and the wooper.

Stefan tenses and orders Donner to shock one of the poisonous balls should the opportunity present itself.

Initiative

As the volatile mob of Water Pokemon drift ever closer to the Koffing (and the trainers), Merchant tosses a ball... which is lost in the action, not even going off as it is sucked into the action.

Jones attempts to use his makeshift zip line... but forgot to use a hook instead of his hands to slide down! Severe rope burn causes him to plummet into the water.
