The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

The corners of the roof have circular marble ornaments on them, probably a good place for a rope. All of the buildings around look the same, aside from being lower and generally a little more destroyed-looking, and the icy area only seems to have fragmented ice plates about the edges of it, and a few bigger ones in the middle. Tiny dots that seem to be snowy Pokemon inhabit the giant ice plate in the center.

Jones nods, before releasing MC. "MC, do me a favor please. Put your claw around this point here..." he indicates the point in the statue's base where it's cracking, "And use Vicegrip to snap it off." The Krabby bubbles slightly, before nodding. "Kookiekookie...." He places his claw in position, and snaps it shut.

The Krabby easily cuts off he statue, with a neat snip at the bottom. Of course, it can't balance on such a little point, and keeps falling over...

Jones picks it up and stuffs it into his backpack. "I can rig up a base of some kind with a bit of wood back at camp..." Going to the edges of the building, he'll get on his hands and knees to check and see which side has the closest flat surface he can rappel down to. Once he determines which side is the best one to rappel down, he'll loop his rope around the marble ornament. He'll recall MC, and then begin to carefully climb down.

Every side seems equally satisfying, though the building is surrounded on all sides by water, save for the front which faces the central platform.

Jones will rappel don the front in that case. Though, if there's a matching ornament on the central platform, he'll attempt to snag it with a second loop of rope and then pull a Slakoth maneuver. While it would leave him without any rope on-hand, it would also make a handy sort of rope-bridge for later.

There does seem to be an ornament on the platform... (Athletics)

Jones grins and makes another loop in the other end of his rope coil, before trying to lasso the other ornament rodeo-style.

The lasso is able to hit its mark, creating a handy zipline thing!

Around the lower part of the building, the Tentacool are fending off an onslaught of overjoyed Wooper.

The Chef leads the charge into the Grotto, a bit in awe of the vastness of the cavern, but quickly looks behind him for Merchant. "I will find best place for crab, give me moment..." He crouches against the water, attempting to identify the habitat...
