The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing. The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level. Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes? |

Jones quickly swings himself to safety as the chain snaps off, and the chandelier quickly comes down. The Wooper, caught up in their game, are not as lucky; the chandelier lands directly on top of [result]2&2,1d4,0,2&1d4[/result] Wooper, crushing them. The other Wooper flock to the shiny chandelier, the sparkling silver of it coating ever so slightly in toxic film and Wooper blood. |

Jones looks sickened by what's just happened, but tries to steel himself. He may see worse yet in this place. Just another reminder that it wasn't a playground. Maybe if he kept telling himself that, he'd be able to ease his conscience. Looking up, what's the damage to the ceiling? Is there a hole in it now, or something? |

There is a hole in the ceiling, but it's quite high up, especially with no chain to climb on. Meanwhile, the floor once more begins cracking under the stress of the chandelier slamming into it... |

"Son of a..." Jones makes a beeline for the ladder he'd climbed up before, and positions himself at the top of it within the ladderwell. Hopefully the opening around the ladder would be enough to keep him from being hit with debris.

The ground gives way just as Jones leaps off, and the chandelier takes nearly the whole damn floor with it! The Wooper tumble on downward, unaware that they are in any danger. To them, it's all a huge game... except for the two that got smushed. They all seems to be in good spirits on the bottom floor, though now Jones is stuck atop a ladder above a crowd of rambunctious Wooper. The slightest move will shout "play time!" |

Jones still has his flashlight in-hand. He'll very carefully angle it hidden from the view of the Wooper, and light up the chandelier again to distract them. |

The light successfully distracts the Wooper, as they all jump toward the bloodbath chandelier! They hose down the chandelier with water, creating a smelly mixture of blood and water that flows into the more open water at the bottom of the chamber. Gross.

OOC Jones will study the hole left by the Chandelier in the roof above him. Can he see anything that he might be able to hook his rope over and climb up? Perception [result]10&1:5:2,3d6,2,10&3d6+2[/result] |

OOC The hole above doesn't reveal anything aside from the ceiling of the chamber... maybe a good throw would hook onto something. The Tentacool at the bottom of the chamber suddenly pop up, approaching the Wooper, who are playing still with the chandelier. |

Jones will make a toss with the looped end of his rope, but before he does that he'll shine his flashlight onto the red crystalline orbs on the bodies of the tentacool. The shine off of that should at least grab the Wooper's attention and keep them from being slaughtered wholesale. OOC
