The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing. The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level. Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes? |

Jason swam further to the surface...wanting to get a good look at the creature who may be a tentacruel. But he needed a good picture before attacking. Roy lingers long enough to let out another poison cloud before moving up. Moves

The Poison cloud once again does not affect the incoming titan... who lingers at the edge of the darkness, hesitant to come out. It seems that it will not pursue Jason farther than the darkness stretches. It drifts backwards, intent on returning back to where it once was, but keeps an eye on the two invaders... |

Jason stopped swimming away and cursed under his breath. This was going to be a bit harder than originally planned. Instead he recalled Roy and sent out Sugar Ray, hoping to hold this pokemon down a little bit. |

Drifting back still, the monster looms into the darkness, ejecting several poisonous barbs at the edge of the light... any attempts to follow it would be met with Toxic Spikes! |

Jason notices the pokemon beginning to do something, but he needed to act fast. Quickly he moved in with a punch. Meanwhile Sugar Ray hoped to keep it in place, at least to the point where it could be seen. moves

Jason muscles through the Toxic Spikes, briskly taking the venom of the floating barbs, but lands a clean hit on the beast! From up close, there's just enough light to finally identify the mon: it is indeed a Tentacruel, and a very pissed one at that. Before it can retreat further in, it finds itself caught in a harrowing Whirlpool! The Tentacruel is not amused, and shoots a steam of bubbles at Jason! Stefan and Merchant collect themselves, heading back to the entrance of the chamber. As they turn, however, they notice a medium-sized brown blur shooting very quickly through the buildings, past the two, toward the icy area beyond the buildings... |

Merchant doesn't pause to consider, he dashes after the blur. "Merchant senses something worth following." |

Stefan isn't far behind. That blur looks like something rare and powerful - and Krieger has enough left in his tank. |
