The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

As Jason approaches the red dots, his visibility is completely lost. He cannot see anything, save for the dots themselves. Suddenly, he sees a pair of pearl-white eyes glowing in the darkness, right below the red dots, which light up angrily...

Merchant's hold on the rope propels Stefan back across the gap. Clean landing!

Seeing the two white eyes appear, Jason stopped swimming, only for a moment. He reached into his pouch and pulled out a pokeball and released Roy. "Ready, Roy?"

Stefan hands the mirror to merchant, retrieves Krieger and the bandages, and then gestures back to the hole.

"Well, I'm ready if you are, boss."

The bright eyes in the dark stare unnervingly at Jason, and water rushes in between the two!

Taking the blow, Jason swam towards the eyes, throwing in a punch while Roy sits off and throws off some poisonous gas.

The shadow in the darkness seems almost unaffected by the punch. Jason notes the surface of its body being incredibly bouncy, almost gel-like in form.

Jason suddenly feels a bunch of tentacles grab for his feet!

Jason needed light to see what was going on, as the tentacles were a bad sign. He began to swim up, towards the light, at least enough to see what he was fighting. "Bait him this way, Roy.

Roy then let loose another poison cloud, this one a bit different than the last. (Poison Gas) Before swimming towards his trainer.

The behemoth swims through the poison cloud with little effect! Before the thing attacks, it reaches the light ever so briefly... (Perception)

The red dots seem to be at the top of its body, and many tentacles are visible at the bottom of the body... though that's all he can figure before the monster fires off a sonar wave of high-pitched noise at the two!
