The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

Oz rushes down the archway, eager to explore these new buildings. Undeterred by the pair of approaching Pokemon, he tells Hayek to prepare himself for a scuffle, and braces for battle himself.

The two Pokemon flop themselves up to dry land just as Oz sets foot on the stone... they look like Horsea! They seem a bit out of their element as they flop as close to the center of the platform as possible, somewhat panicked. Behind them, Oz spots a bubbly bunch of shadows in the water... ((Perception, if you'd like?))

Jason walks into the watery clearing and takes a look around. It is quite peaceful. Of course he's not one that could swim too well, but staying on the surface wouldn't be too much of a problem. After taking a look around, Jason dives into the water.

Jason notes a bunch of rooftops sticking out of the water, as well as the Pokemon dotting the water just below the surface. There aren't many, at least not at this level, but they are certainly there. Many of the buildings are farther out, and a massive bridgelike arch looms in the distance.

Carefully he swims out towards the building and the arch in the distance, keeping his eyes out for the pokemon that were below the surface, hoping none of them are hostile and try to interrupt his swimming.

As Jason swims toward the arch, no Pokemon go out of their way to harass him. The disciple soon spots what looks like a lumpy shadow in the water -- the same one Oz is looking at. Speaking of Oz, Jason spots him hanging out on a nearby rooftop with his Elekid!

Seeing Oz, Jason debated on going towards him, but decided against it...wanting to train with as few people as possible and in this huge open area it shouldn't be too hard. Of course the shadow was something else...something that be a great fight. But he would need it to come closer to the surface. Of course he'd need a closer look so he dove under the water, enough that he could hold his breath and still make it back up.

Oz grins. A Horsea would be an valuable asset. Hayek looks up at him expectantly, and Oz nods, giving him the go ahead.

The little Elekid charges forward, sparks of electricity leaping from its plug-shaped head towards one of the Horsea.

Meanwhile, Oz takes a moment to peer into the deep, trying to ascertain what those shadowy bubbles are...

Hayek's shock hit's dead on! Unfortunately, it does a bit more than the Elekid intended... the Horsea passes out, smoldering and crackling. The other Horsea is shocked, and with no other recourse, shoots a Smokescreen at Hayek and Oz!

Noticing the shadow coming closer, Jason surfaces once more and looks around for an unoccupied rooftop to climb onto and climbs.
