The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing.

The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level.

Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes?

Stefan glances back at Merchant, shouting through the hole in the wall.

"Watch your step, and if I drown, grab Krieger!"

He sets Krieger's pokeball carefully along the wall, wedging it with a roll of bandages so that it doesn't roll away. He then puts a hand on his new Krabby's pokeball, takes a deep breath, and attempts to clear the gap.

Burning an AP.

As Jason winds up for a punch, Angel took the previous hint and stepped in, hitting the seel with a cheap shot before Jason followed it up with a punch of his own.

Stefan leaps for his life... and just barely clears the gap!

The wild Seel is smacked around voraciously by Jason and Angel, but has just as much fight as the two of them. It launches itself at Jason with a nasty Headbutt! [result]17&17,1d20,0,17&1d20[/result] [result]33&6:6,2d6,21,33&2d6+21[/result]

Stefan takes a moment to catch his breath and avoid looking down. He had mustered all of his strength and barely made it.

He then attempts to open the trunk.

The above scenario was in Seel's head because it is actually flinched!

The trunk is a bit hard to open... must be locked.

Seeing the two hits connect, Jason threw out a pokeball to catch the Seel while Angel readied another blow.

With a good underwater shoving from Jason, the Seel is locked into the ball. Caught! (11/Adamant/Winter's Kiss/33 HP)

Stefan frowns, and turns towards Merchant.

"Uh, its locked."

After the capture, Jason recalled Angel quickly and began to swim once more, wondering if there was anything of worth down here.

The freezing water becomes colder as Jason goes, and visibility is quickly lost much farther down. Sheets of ice run farther ahead, though Jason appears to be approaching the back of the chamber.
