The marble architecture leading down the sparkling passage becomes more articulate the further on it goes, from a few wavy lines to a full-on ocean mural, depicting many aquatic Pokemon. The odd sparkling light reflects off of all sides, despite any source nearby... that is soon changed, however, when the passage fans outward to a bright, noisy clearing. The tunnel ends atop a set of stairs leading downward a meter, which itself leads to a marble platform carved into the wall on this side of the chamber. The platform is essentially a stone dock; the rest of the chamber, under the level of that dock, is filled with water. How far down cannot be discerned, but what is certain is that this place was once tall and majestic. The tips of massive stonework buildings peak out of the surface of the water, waves crashing softly against the masonry. The tops of lower buildings form platforms that can be traversed with hearty jumps. Just as well, some buildings poke out even taller, gaining a story of space above the water level. Above the water, the chamber resonates a white-blue reflection of the deep. Lanterns are strung up instead of being bolted to the wall, and the far wall stretches upward at an angle to meet the back wall in a triangle formation. The chamber is actually quite large as far as forward-backward goes, but who knows how far down it goes? |

Jason shivers a bit and touches the ice carefully. This was as far as he could go for now. Instead he checks his watch to see how much time before the caravan arrives. Not too much more time...instead Jason backtracked his way through the Grotto, staying below the water enough to see below him and surface for air. But he worked his way back to the Antechamber to heal up his pokemon and himself before the dive suit arrives. |

Stefan grunts as he kicks away one of the claws. "Understandable. Let Krieger take the brunt of the attack for you. " I really should have taken those martial arts classes. Struggle: [result]11&11,1d20,0,11&1d20[/result] versus AC 4. [result]12&2,1d8,10,12&1d8+10[/result] damage. He gives Krieger another attack command as the aron shrugs off a flurry of bubbles before Headbutting the Crab nearest his trainer. [result]13&13,1d20,0,13&1d20[/result] versus AC 2. [result]33&1:5,2d6,27,33&2d6+27[/result] damage. |

The Krabby completely shrugs off Stefan's girly-slaps, but Krieger gives the crab a run for its Pyen. It still has plenty of fight left in it, though! |

Meowth, sick of all the Krabs, attempts to put one to sleep, while Merchant deftly tosses a ball through the window at the angry crustacean that attacked him before. Merchant is like a sniper with his ball, and the Krabby wiggles a little, but is caught! (Same, except Shell Armor and 1 Injury) The last thus-untouched Krabby makes a final Bubble at Krieger, and looks like it's going to ditch! Moves

Stefan doesn't throw another ball. He already has one. Krieger uses metal claw passing through the fleeing crab to cut off its escape. [result]2&2,1d20,0,2&1d20[/result] versus AC 3. 18 or higher raises attack one stage. [result]33&2:4,2d6,27,33&2d6+27[/result] steel damage. |

As Krieger is about to use Metal Claw, Merchant catches his foot on the bottom of the window, accidentally falling on top of Krieger! Both are unharmed, but the ball misses and shatters upon impact with the ground. The Krabby senses an opportunity to run, and takes it. The other two Krabby in the corner have long since run off, and now it's time for the last one to do the same; it scuttles into a hole in the wall, with only one shot left to take at it from a distance... though one is still asleep. [result]20&20,1d20,0,20&1d20[/result] |

The last Krabby wakes up, with mere seconds having passed. It looks ready to bolt next turn! |
