Theme Music is now mandatory

The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple.

The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them.

Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer.

The ball bounces off of the Slugma's crusted exterior... and it is drawn into the ball. It wiggles a bit, but eventually stops. Slugma has been caught! ((Level 10, Skittish, Flame Body, 33 HP))

Merchant returns the Zubat. No sense in it passing out from the burn...yet.

"Good. Got slug. Now help Merchant get one."

He trots off, looking for another solitary slugma, or if not that, another pair.

Jones stares down the fiery ghost, the pokeball gripped in his hands.

Merchant wanders off for about ten minutes, looking for some slugs to pick a fight with... he happens to wander nearly foot-first into a massive lava pool! The whole thing is about ten meters in diameter, with Slugma dotting the edges. Merchant finds an isolated one, fortunately.

The Gastly backs down a bit, willing to listen to Jones for now.

"Hot! Eesh. Cat, careful."
Merchant tosses out a pokeball, Zubat popping out again.
"Ok bat, last attack and then no more fighting for you till foodtimes."

The bat nervously flies around before obeying, attempting the same method as the previous attack.
Meowth waits nearby for the chance to attack when the slug's attention is turned.

The Slugma pays little heed to the Zubat, not reacting very much to the Astonish. Instead, it looks at the Zubat, appearing to cough up something... suddenly, a mid-sized stone shoots out from under its jowls at the bat.

The bat putters around in midair before just barely falling unconscious from the rock! It falls to the ground, KO'd.

Meowth however wastes no time, and rushes forward, slashing at the Slugma.

The Meowth whiffs completely, unable to do much. Merchant calls back the zubat, and hopes that the Meowth doesn't get hurt too bad. He tosses a pokeball, hoping to cut it off!

The Slugma moves slightly to the side, dodging the False Swipe attack. The ball bounces off the slug's molten exterior, failing to go off and bouncing into the lava, lost for good. The Slugma retaliates against the onslaught by strafing around Meowth and using Yawn! ((Can't miss, Meowth falls asleep at the end of its next turn))

"Cat, focus!"
The Meowth attacks again, before dozing off.
