Theme Music is now mandatory The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple. The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them. Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer. Inei tries to pick up tracks, even though that would be fairly difficult in an urban environment like this one. [result]17&1:6:3:2,4d6,5,17&4d6+5[/result] Survival to find and follow tracks. |

The smoldering paper crumbles a little bit, but stays mostly intact. It looks like a hammer and a block of wood are drawn on the paper... and the face of a Conkeldurr. Weird. Inei scours the area quite hard, but no tracks turn up. There's a distinct ashy smell in the air, but no physical tracks are around here. |

"Hey Inei, can you make any sense of this?" Dusty shows the paper to him. Should he have nothing to comment, Dusty will pocket the paper. "What did you find? Anything?" |

"Maybe I do, but it's in the Steam Factory area. Regardless, we neither have a hammer nor wood, so it might as well wait. No, surprisingly nothing. The smell is strong, but there is no clear direction...except. How good are you at climbing?, asks Inei seriously. |

"Ya know, you think I'd be better at it, but I'm usually going DOWN into caves rather than up. I'm not bad at it, but I'm not exactly good at it. Why do you ask? If we need to go up somewhere, I can send Para to scout it out." |

"I was wondering if we may have to take to the roofs you see, maybe the "burner" is a flying entity. Let's look for a ladder or stairs." Inei promptly releases Nabikun, the Archen excitedly flutters about the two explorers. [result]14&6:1:6,3d6,1,14&3d6+1[/result] Perception for stairs/ladder to the roofs. |

While there aren't any formal places to climb, Nabikun does find a breach in the rubble in one of the buildings that can be used to climb up a floor. Para goes in the air, who finds what looks like a fire escape high up on the same building. Maybe that can be used to transition to the roof. |
