Theme Music is now mandatory

The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple.

The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them.

Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer.

The net takes some damage but holds strong. Only now does Kossa realize scooping up a bladed Pokemon in a mesh net might've been more trouble than it was worth. Still, he draws a Basic Ball and deploys it, hoping it'll give him the edge he needs to capture and book it. Pain rockets through his bite after the throw, seeming to inch closer and closer to his chest.

Brilliant throw, excellent execution, and Kossa is one Pawniard richer. (14/Docile/Defiant/26 HP/2 Injuries/knows the move Pursuit)

Kossa grins in spite of his pain and scoops up the ball. He also recalls Linkril and exits via the window he climbed in from. He takes inventory - no antidotes in his pack but he does have five potions. And his best defense against Fire types, Nomura, just learned Recover...

Deciding to subsist on his potion stash, Kossa ventures onward, hoping to find some sort of loot to really impress Mythrel with.

(Encounter: 37)

The buildings even out a little as Kossa goes on, and through a bit of blind wandering, he finds himself at the edge of a grassy plain. It's odd to think something like this can be underground.

He spots a herd of something out in the far distance, atop of a hill. Looks like some quadrupedal Pokemon, but it's hard to tell which.

Kossa wonders how the grass doesn't spontaneously combust in such a fiery place. He narrows his eyes and tries to look closer, racking his admittedly pathetic knowledge of Pokemon and feeling quite like a fish out of water.

Huh, those Charizard must be tired if they're walking on all fours. Kossa throws out Kugo and the two start to approach the "Charizard" herd, trying to keep on the down low.

Kossa sneaks up to the herd the only way he knows how. By sprinting with Kugo and waving balls in both hands.

(Cumulative Perception: 6)

The herd of Charizard lazily look up at the intruder. It is at this point Kossa slows his pace, and notes that these Charizard look decidedly more brown than the average Zard. And they have horns. And like three tails.

The quartet of Tauros stare down the Trainer and his Pokemon, brushing their hooves against the ground. They take the sprinting as a challenge.
