Theme Music is now mandatory The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple. The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them. Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer. Whether it's the poison or the heat getting to him, Kossa only manages one blow. Damn. A pathetic Bonemerang: [result]22&2,1d8,20,22&1d8+20[/result] |

Kossa coughs up a lung after the throw, feeling weaker already. (-3 health from Poison) |

The single blow is enough; Houndour C falls to its knees and passes out. KO! The remaining three Houndour begin diverting their efforts in between Kossa and the jellyfish, despite the heavy rain. Thankfully, both Kossa and Nomura are able to evade their respective assaults. Nomura, finished with playing and dancing, gets to what he knows best: bubble blowing. He brings it around town towards Houndour B for its rude growling. Bubble Beam: [result]4&4,1d20,0,4&1d20[/result], lowers speed on 18-20. [result]64&8:4:6:7:6,5d10,33,64&5d10+33[/result] |

The bubbles are far, far, FAR more than the Houndour can take; succumbing to the spray of pansy baby water, the Houndour is rocketed backwards into a pile of trash, leaving a nasty dog-shaped bloodstain on the wall. KO! (And possibly the campaign's first outright kill) The Houndour are scared as fuck and flee the scene, not wanting any of that. EXP

Kossa doesn't bat an eye. He recalls Nomura after a brief "good job" and proceeds onward, hoping to find something REALLY impressive to haul back. |

(Encounter: 7, 13, 46) Kossa passes by two large groups of Slugma... nah. Strolling some more through downtown, Kossa passes by a building with some shifting sounds coming from the interior. The door is blocked off with rubble, but one window into the noisy room is open. |

Kossa cautiously approaches the window and peeks in, hoping whatever's in there doesn't notice him right away. Stealth: [result]6&3,1d6,3,6&1d6+3[/result] Perception: [result]7&5:2,2d6,0,7&2d6+0[/result] |

Kossa gets a peek into the room... and it's a duo of Pawniard, rummaging around a room of trash! Looks like they're exploring. (Perceptions 3, 7) One of the Pawniard notice a face in the window... it gets spooked and runs to a chimney hole. The other one is confused, but unaware of Kossa's presence. |
