Theme Music is now mandatory The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple. The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them. Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer. Reya wouldn't want to take the little things toys once she realizes what's going on. Maybe a trade would be in order? She moves away from the mother and pulls out her Dowsing Rod and begins to search for things. Maybe she'd get lucky and they would like whatever she found more. Spending AP to Activate Dowsing Rod Petrology for Dowsing: [result]17&6:1:6:2,4d6,2,17&4d6+2[/result] vs 15(10 if this is sufficiently caveish or rocky) Roll for Result if Success [result]5&5,1d20,0,5&1d20[/result] |

Reya manages to find a single Red Shard... it's sparkly. The crowd of Darumaka are somewhat interested in the sparkly thing, it seems! (Charm/Guile to trade) |

Well it wasn't much but maybe they would fancy it enough to give up one of the items, the necklace more than anything. If not well she could always find some more tomorrow, she really needed to head back soon. She was unsure how long the specters would wait. "What do you say little ones. A trade? My shiny thing for yours?" Charm [result]13&5:5:1,3d6,2,13&3d6+2[/result] |

(Focus: Irrelevant since they can only hit 12) The Darumaka trio excitedly agree, and hand over the necklace in exchange for the shard. They're quite entranced by it... and take it back to the other two sleeping fire babies for play time. The chest is left alone, next to the sleeping mother. |

The necklace is diamond-shaped, and is made of pure silver... such a metal might be good for repelling spirits. (5 DR against Ghost-type damage) The Shuppet are content to follow Reya for whatever her intentions are; they like to feed on maliciousness, after all. (Exit thread to Violet) |

Reya returns once more to the melted city and sets off in a different direction than she had before; hoping to find a few more shards and perhaps other things of value (Let's try out new Dowsing rules. Rolling 3d6 for Novice Occult +1 if this is suitably rocky. 4-6 find a shard. Reroll a 6 for extra chances.) Base roll[result]11&3:6:2,3d6,0,11&3d6[/result] If rocky[result]1&1,1d6,0,1&1d6[/result] |

Reya finds a sufficiently rocky area in the ruins, one that looks like a scorched rock garden, and gets to work. With the effort she's put in, she manages to find a Red shard and a Yellow shard! (I think she has two more tries?) |
