Theme Music is now mandatory The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple. The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them. Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer. The mother stirs a little... but thankfully, it would take a truckload of Exploud to wake this thing. There's another path to the right of the Darmanitan, but there's also something behind it... a steel chest. Classic dungeon material! |

Treasure? Time to investigate. Whoever had built the Pyramid had such advanced technology for the time if they could make steel. Reya moves over quickly. |

Reya attempts to get to the chest, but it's being blocked by the Darmanitan's massive bulk... that's gonna take quite a hop, climb, or battle to get to. |

Reya wasn't exactly nimble but the chest was too enticing to pass up. She tries to climb up and over the wall nearby, hoping to not fall on the sleeping fire-mon. Atheletics/Acrobatics: [result]9&2:6,2d6,1,9&2d6+1[/result] |

Reya accidentally kicks the Darmanitan's beefy arm as she goes over, but thankfully her silence is enough to keep her out of harm's way. The chest behind the giant fire ogre is warm to the touch, and contains... a myriad of assorted knickknacks! It looks like the family has a collection of trinkets, presumably dropped from those who inhabited this place long ago. Among all the less-valuable things, Reya finds a TwistedSpoon, a beautiful silver necklace in the shape of a star, and about [result]5&3,1d3,2,5&1d3+2[/result]00 Pyen's worth of ancient currency. The rest of the chest altogether, including the container itself, might be worth more when presented to the appraisal team. |

For the moment Reya leaves the contents in the chest to make it easier to carry; she could sort it all out later. Unfortunately the chest was too unwieldy to make another climb past the Darmanitan. She might be able to clear it if she gets a running start but if she falls short...She backs up from the best and goes for it. Acrobatics for jumping [result]9&3:5,2d6,1,9&2d6+1[/result] Stealth to not be noisy [result]7&5:1,2d6,1,7&2d6+1[/result] |

Reya very briefly catches her foot on the big arm, but manages to keep her footing just in time for a graceful (if loud) landing. The sleeping mother doesn't budge an inch. Apparently she wasn't completely silent though; her noise has apparently gotten the attention of [result]3&3,1d3,0,3&1d3[/result] of the Darumaka, who have come over sleepily to investigate the noise. They're not fully aware of what's going on... aside from the fact that there's a strange girl with their toy chest. |

Reya carefully sets down the chest. "Oh, hello again. Sorry it took me so long to come back but well, I've had a hectic day. I didn't want to wake you while you were napping" SHe smiles as she talks since adorable sleep confusion. |

The three Darumaka seem to sober up and go for their toy chest, pulling out the TwistedSpoon and the necklace to play with them. Looks like they're the favorite toys... the littlest Darumaka shuffles through the old currency like a child playing with a set of marbles. It's basically the cutest thing Reya has ever seen. |
