Theme Music is now mandatory

The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple.

The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them.

Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer.

Reya promptly goes through the door that is ajar. "Looks promising," she says to Sada who skips behind her. After a cursory glance to assure she isn't walking into anything she begins scouring the building for artifacts.

Jason bowed towards the burned Makuhita before staggering to the throne and taking his seat, wanting to rest his injuries.

Reya doesn't spot anything in the door... looks safe enough! Once she's in, she spots a metal desk in one corner, a bookshelf in another, and a rug on the floor. Not much to be had in the way of artifacts, aside from some scorched books that are beyond reading... but this place does give off an eerie vibe.

Jason takes a seat on the highly uncomfortable throne... several Makuhita attendants tend to his injuries. They apply some sort of healing powder to his bruises, which itches, but heals him almost instantly! (Full recover)

After feeling refreshed, Jason stands up and looks to the Makuhita.

"There's someone that I need to beat...someone that's stronger than any one of us. Can I get five of our best not counting me and head towards the water?"

Most of the Makuhita stare in awe, but four step forward, apparently wanting to join. Apparently, to get any more than that, they have to be convinced to come along...

Jason looked to the four that stepped forward with a smile before nodding.

"Thank you four for volunteering. We should be enough."

With that he headed to the Foyer and then towards the Drowned Grotto.

Reya sees that the books are badly burned and, though it is likely futile, she rummages through the burned books. Then she turns to investigate the metal desk. Though she does feel slightly ill at ease she brushes it off. The Ruins of Alph had rooms like that as well. Sada distracts herself from the atmosphere by messing with a tassel on the rug.

The rug is nice.

Suddenly, Reya feels a chill run up her spine. As she looks around, she notices a little gray doll on the metal desk.

What tales this doll might tell. Though it might be overlooked by most even a lowly toy might tell much of a culture. Reya reaches for it to pick it up.
Sada is oblivious and manages to find a loose string on the rug. XD

The doll doesn't seem to be made of metal, like everything else around here. Still, it seems a little... creepy. (Edu:Occult)
