Theme Music is now mandatory

The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple.

The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them.

Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer.

"Well now, this is something..." Jones advances into the new area, but not before releasing Inferno beside him. "Keep an eye out for anything hostile, alright? If you spot them and I don't, hit em with a Hypnosis, and get my attention. Without setting me on fire please." The Gastly grumbles a bit at that caveat, but nods; and follows along at Jones' side.

The hilly area isn't nearly as large as it looks... some sort of perspective thing. The Pokemon out in the distance, however, are quite real. They glance up at Jones, paying him barely any mind with their lazy ogles... typical Numel.

Jones continues exploring, looking for anything odd, or out of place; as well as any pokemon that seem strange.

OOC: Sorry, should have clarified, Jones is exploring this particular hilly area, not moving past it.

Aside from being a series of underground hills in the corner of an all-too-big chamber, nothing strikes him as odd down here. It's just like the rolling plains of the national park... if it were deep in the bowels of hell.

Some of the Numel are following Jones.

They don't seem hostile... just curious.

Knowledge: Numel Behavior

As Jones remembers that tidbit of knowledge, he notices six Numel now following him.

Jones shakes his head, and heads out of the area at a brisk walk, trying to cut line of sight between himself and the Numel with one of the hills. Not worth his time right now. Moving past the hilly area, he begins looking for any other areas of interest.

Moving past the hills, Jones comes back to a scattered section of the city. Buildings aren't particularly sparse... seems like some sort of park area. Out of the corner of his eye, he sees... steam? He squints and spies some kind of boiling water in the distance...

The Numel are still following him.

"Bingo. I knew there had to be water here." He heads towards the pillar of steam; keeping an eye out for any other pokemon. At this point he's ignoring the Numel so long as they stay at a distance.
