Theme Music is now mandatory

The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple.

The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them.

Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer.

Recalling Krieger, Stefan adds another item to the list of things he owes Merchant for. Noticing the exit, he begins to descend and head further in.

The duo head up the new set of stairs... noting a cooler temperature, and the distinct smell of pollen.

Jones makes his way into the ruins, looking around for anything of interest, and looking for openings into ruins that he hasn't entered yet.

The ruins feel particularly more humid today. The stirring of Fire Pokemon must be heating up the place even more... if such as thing was possible.

Familiar buildings and lava pools are all that Jones spots so far. Slugma line the paths as always, and the buildings carry on infinitely. Out of the corner of his eye, however, he spots what looks like a cellar door connected to the side of a building. In a place like this, with lava pools at ground level, who knows what lurks further down?

Jones fans himself with his hat. "There's got to be some kind of connection to that water-filled place here. It's the only explanation for this damned humidity. Well, nothing to it but to do it." He heads over to the cellar door, and pulls out a coil of rope. Tying an end around each handle, he makes sure there's a lot of slack in the center; and then releases Digger. "Alright partner, you take this end, I'll take this end. Make sure to leave enough slack to let us get the doors open; but make sure to keep out of the way. When I say pull, pull on the rope." He waits a moment for the Trapinch to take up position opposite the door. "Okay, pull!" They both pull the cellar doors open. If nothing flies out, Jones collects the rope and Digger, and will descend, with his flashlight out and ready.

The doors open, and... it's full of lava. Quite a bit. No going down there, it seems.

Jones grumbles, and continues searching about, though now he's keeping an eye out for more of those cellar doors. As well as any odd-looking pokemon.

Stumbling about, Jones finds himself in a particularly cluttered section of the molten city. Buildings are tightly packed, the only space being an open path in between them, and a few alleyways here and there. No more of those cellar doors, but hell, it looks like people really would have lived in these buildings. They're not tall, just wide and quite close together... almost like a downtown in a modern city.

Soon, he comes to a large opening in the dense part of the city... and there appears to be many steel spires littered about the edge of this clearing. In the middle is a perfectly rectangular platform, nestled a step above the solid ground. Nothing is on it; it's just a big platform.

Jones approaches, and will carefully inspect the platform and the spires, and try to make out if they've got any sort of use. He's also looking about for any potetial entryways into the buildings surrounding the square
