Theme Music is now mandatory The air grows more humid the further into the tunnel one moves, heated to the point that the walls themselves seem to melt... giving way to solid steel. Five minutes into it, the passage widens out like a fan, opening immensely into a chamber that seems straight out of a volcanic temple. The clay-brick architecture exists only on the ground, which feels much more dense when one walks on it. Six immense stone spikes carve out an invitation to those who wish to wander around this chamber, maybe hoping to get burned? The chamber itself stretches back immensely far, appearing to occupy one whole slice of the pyramid. The wall behind the group rises straight up, but the back wall in this chamber, as far as the group can see, slants at a sharp angle to meet the other wall behind them. Occupying the rest of this chamber appears to be a village-sized conglomerate of melted architecture! Regardless of the origin, this whole place looks like a molten city. There are even small lava pools dotting the ground around the entrance to this place, a connect-the-dots puzzle of melted rock surrounding a dead steel city... this place is truly intimidating, but a fit place to adventure for the hardier explorer. Despite the lackluster throw from Merchant, the False Swipe and flinch is enough to capture the firebrand Pokemon! As the cap is completed, the Pokedex beeps... Shifted Goodies Another fireball drifts outside of the window. Not wanting any of that, it attempts to fly away. Edited by BatiroAtrain, Sep 1 2013, 02:24 PM.

Stefan grin as the great ball clicks. "Well done. A shame Cat got hurt. Do you need any restoratives?" Edited by Ursus the Grim, Sep 1 2013, 04:22 PM.

The rays miss, and the last bat flies off. How unfortunate. EXP

Stefan picks up his new acquisition, scanning it with the dex before clipping it to his belt. He pats Krieger on the head and recalls him before scanning the room. Perception: [result]7&3:4,2d6,0,7&2d6[/result] |

"Good good. Now, teaching techniques." After peering around the room too, he steps beside the Slugma. "Send any you wish to learn beside Slug, and I will teach. You will assist Merchant in captures with this move." Pulling out a long, sharp, bloodstained clawed tool, he opens up the poke ball with the unconscious Zubat. "Ready?" |

Stefan eyes the tool warily, but consents. The move is too useful to pass up. He sends Krieger out and then returns his attention to their surroundings. |

The room is mostly empty; the only notable things are the two broken windows and a cascade of empty bookshelves. |

Taking the unconsicous Zubat, he carefully makes a few quick cuts in the wings, that begin to very slowly sap out blood. The Zubat however doesn't stir or even flinch, merely continuing to lay there. "Key is to quickly attack the key nerves; slice quick enough and they feel nothing. Keep them conscious, but sap strength." The Zubat seems no worse for wear in the end, though the cuts look brutal in location, and it will likely feel it after. After some broken explanation of how to find the key points, both the Aron and the Slugma seem to understand, though its questionable how exactly a Slugma would 'slice' an enemy. When the session ends, Merchant climbs back to the roof to find the exit to the area, and figure out how to proceed further. |

The rest of the city just looks cluttered, but Merchant can spy the exit to the chamber, since it's not far off from their current location. Nothing seems to be in the way. |
