Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

New Initiative

Pop pop, one more Beedrill drops from the sky. They fly around each other at random, and fire volleys of Poison Sting!

Kossa and Hawky resist being poisoned, but Hawky suffers badly from the barbed barrage. Deciding a tactical retreat is best, Kossa recalls the bleeding bird and sends out Nomura! (Speed 5)

Reya makes her way back towards the buried creature. Maybe today she'd manage to actually find an apricorn.

Init 3

The Beedrill hover and fly rapidly in front of Kossa, looking frantically around for the bird they were just trying to take down. Mission success?

Reya struggles a little, but makes it back into the bulb. The descent is slow and painful, but she touches down in flesh.

Reya heads back towards the stomach where Merchant and Stephan had popped up earlier. Hopefully the Foongus weren't still around....

Reya gets through the path, easily jumping over the river of red (it's second-nature now) and crawling her way toward the stomach.

There are no Foognus here currently, and the path they came from is still drained. Good to go.

Well her luck was holding so far. She makes her way down the hole that Merchant and Stephan had popped out of. It was a bit more odious than the other end...Down the hole she goes

Gross gross gross gross gross

Reya pops up out the other end... a densely-packed forest, with a canopy so thick she can't see the ceiling of wherever she is, if she's still in the saur.

Ugh, Reya brushes herself off trying not to think about the return trip while taking in the scenery. Hard to believe she was still in a the Pyramid. Out comes Bem. "Ok we're here to look for an apricorn. It'll be gold in color, think you can handle it?" Bem nods uncertainly. Together they set off in search of a gold apricorn

(26)

The two make their way through the thick brush... no Apricorns here yet, but she does trip over something on the ground. It's a big, spiny stick; quite a darker color than the other trees around here. It doesn't seem animate.
