Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

In extreme anticipation and excitement, Hawky flies right past the Kakuna.

It retaliates by getting hard. The thrill. (Harden)

Hawky flies back over and tries again, anticipation in his eyes and yearning in his heart. The beautiful tango of death continues.

He strikes.

The Kakuna is nearly smeared into oblivion... but its exoskeleton manages to keep it alive.

The bug begins spinning rapidly, clearing the brush around it. This reveals about six more Kakuna dangling in the background. They're all turned toward Kossa, and they begin glowing a strange white light.

Ok, this is freaking Kossa out. He gets ready to step in after Hawky makes his next move.

Hawky lets up on the pecking and steps up the scorching. The first Kakuna is treated to a nice and toasty Ember.

Afterwards, when the first Kakuna is hopefully dead, Kossa executes a Rapid Assault against three of the six weird glowing Kakuna.

Kakuna A is fried. KO! (And a meal for Hawky)

Kakuna B, C, and D are all slammed accordingly; this only seems to loosen them up for the process.

In an instant, all six Kakuna stop glowing and fall dead to the ground. In their place are six angry Beedrill, all staring down Kossa and his flaming bird.

A bug's a bug - Hawky swoops in to peck the first Beedrill to hell.

One Beedrill is downed immediately. KO!

The other five Beedrill strengthen their defenses before moving in for a killing swarm. (Iron Defense)

Hawky switches it up in response, letting out a fierce Ember on the next Beedrill!

Beedrill C is scorched, but altogether not that hurt. The pack begins their hunt... the only way they know how.

Beedrill C, D, E, F, and G all spray odious cones of String Shot onto Hawky.

Hawky is sprayed and catches the goop between his feathers, taking a hit to his speed. He comes back with another Peck to Beedrill C.
