Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Kossa decides not to intervene. He doesn't want to get poisoned again and he doesn't want toxic rabbits chewing on his legs.

Linkril gets pecked but seems more annoyed by it than actually hurt. He doesn't like the way that Nidoran M A is looking at him so he's the first for a fierce drubbing.

Nidoran M A is wrecked. Its bloody carcass is sent reeling backwards at the foot of Nidorina. KO!

The Nidoran F and the remaining M are spooked, and look toward the Nidorina for guidance. It's a little deterred as well... but nonetheless decides to fight. It goes in for a pack-attack! Beat Up!

It's a slaughter. The three rabbits gang up on Linkril and relentlessly pound him into pulp. The Nidorina and the last male Nidoran deliver blows to Linkril's Cubone-kidneys and give it two consecutive skull fractures. When the nightmare is over, Kossa carries his Pokemon's lifeless corpse from the Pyramid and swears from that day forward never to battle again.

...

The dust settles as the assailants pause their offense. Despite all their effort and all their fury, their critical blows mean nothing. Linkril is still standing, bone in his claws, and fire in his eyes.

Battle Armor, motherfuckers.

He returns the favor to Nidorina with, what else, one hell of a Bone Club.

The Nidorina is hounded by the club, and more than a little beaten up... but it continues to stand its ground. It's got spirit. Unfortunately, it's stuck for a moment from the awesome thwack of Linkril's stiff bone.

The two other Nidoran, loyal to their alpha in all regard, boldly flee into the forest.

Kossa orders Linkril to stand down, taking the chance to draw a Pokeball. This Nidorina does indeed have spirit. He attempts to catch it with a Basic Ball.
