Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Stefan, noting Merchants presence in the tree, stands by while Passat mentally wrestles with it.

Merchant sees what's up with the long limb grabbing the Apricorn. That's not part of the tree... that's a Shiftry! It was trying to cover itself, but Merchant sees through its thin disguise.

As Passat flies closer, the territorial Shiftry takes some potshots at him with Bullet Seed! [result]14&14,1d20,0,14&1d20[/result] (DB14) [result]51&5:2:7:2,4d10,35,51&4d10+35[/result] Grass Physical

Jones and Reya crawl through the small tunnel, ending up in a thin floor of acid. The stomach for sure. There seems to be a large tunnel in the ground at the far end of this place, but there's some small things surrounding it. They can't make out what it is from the distance between them.

Jones advances cautiously to inspect the objects embedded in the floor of what's most likely the stomach.

Merchant drops down from the tree, aiming his cannon at the branch underneath the Shiftry. He fires a basic ball, attempting to jostle the pokemon out.

Jones gets a little closer, but stops as the objects turn to face him. It wouldn't do good to approach horde of Foongus in the open.

The Shiftry is not affected by the Hypnosis attempt, but the shaking of the branch makes the mon wobble. (Athletics 10)

It seems to keep its balance, and tries once more to take out Passat; this time, it blows wind with its open arm at the glyph! Whirlwind: [result]14&14,1d20,0,14&1d20[/result] AC2 Status (Wonder Skin makes it DC8), if successful Passat is pushed 6 meters and must make a DC10 Focus to keep hold of the Apricorn

Seeing that its balance would be simply too hard to trip, Merchant drops a pokeball, releasing Meowth, and fires a ball at the Shiftry.

Merchant should stick to what he does best; the ball is spot-on, and with the Shiftry focusing on the Apricorn, it doesn't even see it coming. Capture! (20/Jolly/Frighten, Pickpocket/55 HP/Bullet Seed)

The Golden Apricorn drops to the ground. (40 EXP for the pool)
