Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Stefan shrugs. The Lairon seems more mellow now, soothed by the grassy Pokemon.

"I'm confident in our abilities, and would hate to leave with empty hands. Then there is the issue of Reya, Barnaby, and that strange noise."

He lets Krieger enjoy the attention a few moments longer.

"You helped me again, though. I'll follow you whichever way."

Reya is shocked by the sound, and is even more startled by the source. It hadn't occurred to her that there might be somethings living in the wall. "Well uh... sorry for the confusion. We just assumed the wall was vacant," she says while recalling her mon, a weak excuse. She groans as she reads the message from Mythrel. They really needed to extract themselves from this situation as quickly as possible. "We really are sorry to have bothered you and while we would like to sort this out we really need to go, right Jones?" Hopefully they can get out of here without a confrontation.

"Reya, I'm positive that you can hook up with Stefan. Get to him, and get to the Antechamber with the others. Contrary to what he thinks, I can rough it if needed. I'll stay here and make amends for the harm we caused thanks to my suggestion. Better to show that we're genuinely sorry than give a potentially empty promise, right?" Jones looks determined, and has placed himself between the wall's occupants and Reya. He's also peering closel at the spot they'd been concentrating their attacks on, trying to figure out what they'd hit.

Merchant looks at his pokemon. They WERE fairly injured, though he wasn't huge on the idea of staying here for the night.

"Cat, and Ball are injured, but Merchant still has 3 battle-ready pokemon. Merchant will stay if you do not mind sleeping outside.

As to the others, they will do as they do."

Merchant tinkers with the Pokedex, attempting to jury rig it to send messages as well as recieve them.

While he does so, he works on crafting a number of more balls.

Stefan shrugs, releasing Krieger once more. He seems happy to be out, stretching his legs once more. He takes a bottle from his pack and rolls it to the steel-clad dinosaur, who crushes it in his jaws and guzzles the yellow beverage leaking out.

While Krieger is refreshing his stamina, Stefan takes a few items from his pack and pulls the gas mask off his face.

"Any interest or need of these, Merchant?"

Seemingly out of nowhere Merchant pulls out a carpet out of nowhere, laying it on the ground. With a flick of a wrist a number of items pop up on the carpet.
A box of great balls, pokeballs, a luxury ball, a Dusk Stone, four balls labeled Foongus, two labeled Carnivine, one labeled Ditto, an antidote, and four pieces of paper.

The first says Evolution Voucher, the second Move Tutor, the third Photo Tutor, and the fourth Natural Tutor.

"Merchant has much to sale or trade. And, Merchant has some ideas of how you might be able to get some...store credit."

Stefan is immediately impressed by the selection. He was going to have to up the ante. He detaches a pokeball from his belt.

"Sandile. I don't recall seeing one in your stock. Her, plus the shards and the seed for the antidote and Move Tutor. In exchange for the Evolution Voucher, I can teach your pokemon to modify their attacks in a variety of ways. Immaterial Earthquakes, Slashes that strike twice, moves that can even be used when Confused without fail. There's also the usual training routines you can get it on. Let's talk about that kind of arrangement."

Reya shakes her head, "I don't fancy your chances calming these guys down. I'll stay since I helped cause this mess too. Might as well tell the 'boss' we're going to be stuck in here so he doesn't panic." She proceeds to send a return message to their eccentric employer, Jones and I are busy trying to find our way deeper into the complex. Staying inside to save time.

Merchant looks intently.

"Merchant will accept that, but only on the condition of Photo tutor and Evolution instead of Move Tutor. Merchant will give both tomorrow under the condition of enlisting your assistance today in transforming a Flamethrower to a Physical based move. As well, Merchant would ask for one more Technique training at a future date, when Merchant has need for it."

Merchant pulls out the Voucher and Antidote.

Stefan nods.

"Fair enough. That will give me time to think about what move to have you tutor. So, let's see that Pokemon."
