Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Angel hits the ground but pushes back to his feet, providing some aid and some energy to Jason to keep up with the fight.

The move sends the Pinsir back a little bit... its carapace is cracked on its torso! The bug is outraged, and runs at Jason with horns forward, attempting to Bind him! [result]12&12,1d20,0,12&1d20[/result] [result]23&5,1d6,18,23&1d6+18[/result]

With Jason not going anywhere, all he could do was throw a pokeball...in hopes that it hits while Angel waits, ready to throw another punch should that fail.

The Pinsir attempts to smash the ball, but misses, and is ensnared. The ball wiggles, but ultimately stops dead. Pinsir has been caught! ((10, Cuddly, Mold Breaker, 16 HP))

When the pokeball stopped moving, Jason gave off a sigh of relief and went to retrieve it. As much as he wanted to continue training, he couldn't...at least now how he was now. For now he sat down and bandaged himself and released Holyfield, bandaging the Pinsir as well.

"That was a tough fight you put up...I hope I can impress you in the long run."

The Pinsir seems to respect Jason a bit for beating it in a fair fight, but that doesn't mean the bug has to like him. For now, he seems docile.

The Paras that were clinging to Jason's legs now release, scurrying on their merry little way down the clearing. Holyfield eyes the bugs, but doesn't bother them, and none seem to be dragged into the ground yet. Perhaps the skirmish caused the rest of the Nincada to flee from their hiding spots?

Regardless, there is peace for the time being.

Looking to Holyfield, Jason stood up slowly and stretched. "What do you say, we head back...pick up some more supplies and then come back and train? I trust in you and I want you to be able to believe in me." Jason recalled the Pinsir and backtracked towards the main encampment just hoping to stock up on supplies before heading back out.

Stefan lets out a low whistle of awe as he emerges in the jungle. If it was prime terra for wild Pokemon. Perhaps he could procure grass backup for Krieger, or a rare Bug for sale. Prospective opponents would be limitless. Oh, and there was the treasure thing. He starts moving forward, poking through the brush for just about anything of note.

Merchant follows behind with Cat, hoping that Stephen handles the potential dangers. He scans the area as well, looking for movement.

The two move forward from the brush-covered entryway, and in no more than five minutes, find themselves in the middle of a large clearing, stretching left and right farther than they can see. The soil seems soft and loamy... and a nearby tree is covered in scratches.
