Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Jones backs away from the cyst. "Some kind of fluid buildup in there. I'm not going to risk rupturing it; especially since we don't have anything to use to collect samples with, and we don't know what it is. Let's head through that path we opened up. If we're moving through the digestive tract, then we might find what we're looking for in the large intestine equivalent."

"I wouldn't touch that, Merchant."

Stefan reaches for a pokeball.

"Thats how the grass Pokemon I mentioned got the drop on me. . . Though there were two before and they may have been smaller."

Merchant nods, readying his cannon, and having Meowth next to him.

"We shall get the drop on it this time then."

Without anymore hesitation, he aims...and fires!

Reya nods. "There'll always be later. Hopefully we can borrow some flasks or something from the Researchers." She catches the time from her watch, it was certainly getting late. "Let's press on a bit further then."

The ball is spot-on, but bounces off the jiggly ball thing.

Almost immediately, a massive mushroom springs forth from the flesh! It's a giant Amoongus! (Large sized!) Four other Foongus spring up with it. It's not pleased about being hit with a ball. (Speed 1 Amoongus, 2 Foongus, the cap attempt is Merchant's action for this turn)

The path ahead turns a corner, but is blocked by a solid wall of gallstone. Not little pieces, but one large wall towering above the two trainers.

Jones looks at the huge mass, and frowns. After a long moment of consideration, he releases Mjolnir. "Listen, I need your help. I know we got off on the wrong foot, but I'd like for us to be able to work together. I need your help to pass through this obstacle. I know it's kind of disgusting, but I promise you a bath as soon as we get out of here. And if the spores in the air are affecting you at all, I have restoratives that will take care of pretty much all the affects that can harm you form the spores in here. So, are you willing to at least try?"

The Honesledge regards Jones with its single eye for a long moment, before seeming to swell up. (Bulk Up) It hefts itself, and then swings at the wall of organic material!

The sledgehammer veers off course unexpectedly. It then levitates away from Jones and giggles to itself. Seems like it was faking him out; a problem of loyalty.

Stefan hangs back from the fight at first, not willing to get too directly involved and releases Krieger. He chucks a great ball at the Amoongus, hoping to take the biggest threat out first.

"Okay Krieger, lets try that new trick you learned!"

Meanwhile, Krieger hangs back, just in front of his trainer. He plants his feet squarely and pale blue light begins to shimmer from his feet before washing over him.

Jones groans. "Listen, I know we got off on the wrong foot, but how's this sound? You work with me, help me out and battle alongside me, and I'll help you get strong, strong enough to reach your final form. You'll get to see corners of this pyramid that you can't even begin to imagine. And even the world beyond its walls. All I ask is some trust, and cooperation in return. Once we're out of here, you can talk to the other members of my team. I treat them right, and don't ask more of them than I ask of myself. I make sure that they're kept healthy, and I ensure that they have backup. Now please, can we try to cooperate?"

Reya watches as the odd hammer veers off course. Well at least it wasn't hostile and beating his head in. "How exactly did you get on the wrong foot?"
