Theme Music is now mandatory As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid! While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder. A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush. Jones shakes his head. "No, I can handle it. I just don't want to risk it being an ulcer or something, and both of us getting splashed with acid." With that, Jones will carefully peel back the layers of flesh around the node. |

Stefan looks around this dead-end... and lucky him, he sees a small opening at the back wall, just tall enough for him to crawl through. Sketchtail swipes at the Stantler, but the netted deer ducks under the swipe, and responds by stamping on him! [result]5&5,1d20,0,5&1d20[/result] [result]43&8:10,2d10,25,43&2d10+25[/result] Normal Physical Merchant slips up a little climbing, but makes it safely up one petal... before falling face-first into the center, coming in contact with the spores! (Focus or Survival) Jones peels up the inflammation... and finds himself a big old root wedged in the top. It looks rather green, and alive. (Big Root) |

Stefan stoops slightly and slides himself into the fleshy orifice. This was certainly a new experience. . . . |

Jones blinks, before pulling the root carefully out of the inflamed area. "I think Stefan might have been right in his theory about the vegative aspect of this Saur taking over the host body like a Parasect and its mushrooms. I doubt that a normal Saur has these kinds of issues." He'll hold out the Big Root to Reya. "Here. I've already got one from a while back. Let's press forward shall we?" Jones will trade Reya the root for his flashlight, and lead the way forward again. Perception: [result]19&5:5:4:2,4d6,3,19&4d6+3[/result] Edited by Lockdown, Apr 4 2014, 09:38 AM.

Sketchtail manages a hit! He even manages to clip off a shard of the Stantler's prized antlers, making it reel in pain. It reacts by kicking up dust in Sketchtail's face! Sand-Attack: [result]16&16,1d20,0,16&1d20[/result] AC2, Blinded until end of next turn |

Stefan crawls under whatever organ that is... it looks like some kind of tube. The crawl is a quick one, and he comes out in the interior of a large fleshy dome. The sound of spores is muffled by the dry organ walls, and the interior's ground is covered in a thin green fluid. Just from a glance, this seems to be the beast's stomach. Jones gets a better look down the organ corridor, which bends once more to the left. Around the corner, they seem to find... a large collection of big yellow stones blockading the path. They smell very... ew. |

Jones very carefully inspects the "stones" and the area around them, thankful for the suit covering his hands as he prods at them. "What do you make of these Reya?" Perception: [result]22&6:6:1:6,4d6,3,22&4d6+3[/result] Edu Medicine: [result]7&1:2:1,3d6,3,7&3d6+3[/result] |

Stefan pokes around the stomach, looking for evidence of the diet of the creature. He starts by toeing the green residue. Stomach acid generally wasn't extremely harmful, especially not from a dead organism. . . He hoped. This was, after all, a poison type with a once mighty metabolism. This is it, the final moment! Time to show this Stantler the final action! Drawing the Great Ball he produced a few moments prior, Barnaby aims for the Stantler and goes for the capture! And Sketchtail tries to land a False Swipe again if it doesn't go through. For precautions.
