Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Jones motions for Reya to stay back, and hands her the flashlight. "Keep the light focused on me please, but keep back, just in case. I'm going to investigate that lump..." Jones will cautiously move closer and inspect the lump.

The coin on Meowth's head begins to shine oddly. It seems like it's ready for the next step in its life.

Merchant gathers up the pokeballs, and returns his disoriented pokemon. These should fetch a decent sum. He heads back towards the Bulb to see if anything has changed.

Fearful for his quickly deteriorating stance, Barnaby uses his ace in the hole; the Weighted Net! He attempts to hurl it at the Stantler in hopes of slowing it down enough to escape its range.

In the meantime, he orders Dustermuch to use Bulldoze and knock the enemy pokemon down a few notches!

With the net successfully deployed, Barnaby shifts several meters south, escaping the movement range of the now slowed Stantler.

The lump doesn't seem to be alive, or moving... not much more can be discerned from looking at it. Just that it's an irriated sore.

Merchant heads back for the bulb, but the exterior doesn't seem to have changed very much. The spores are as strong as ever.

The Stantler is snared in the net, and shaken by the Bulldoze, falling briefly on its side. It quickly rises and stomps around furiously, attempting to put its assailant to sleep from inside the net. Hypnosis: [result]18&18,1d20,0,18&1d20[/result] AC6

(Stefan Fleshluck: 10)

Stefan cuts up the wound and dislodges whatever was trapped inside... it looks like it was a seed. It seems to radiate a natural energy... (Miracle Seed)

Stefan holds the seed gingerly, almost reverently. He can't help but assume it is related to the dominant plant, but he holds some hope that its a glimmer of the dead Pokemon itself. He looks around for another path forward, something he may have missed.

Barnaby leaves his Paras to sleep softly and swaps him out for the Sergent of his battalion, the mighty Smeargle!

He orders Sketchtail to land a False Swipe at the Stantler through the net, hoping to sap it to the last ounce of strength.

Ugh that thing looked nasty. It didn't seem as harmful as the spores. "Well it seems benign enough. Need help pulling it back?"

Merchant, finding Meganium where he left it, strafes around the bulb.

Getting impatient, he attempts to hold his breath and climb up it.
