Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

"Well, plants tend to live longer. Perhaps, like a paras, the vegetative aspect of the Pokemon survived after the animal aspect perished."

He explores the petrifying cavities, trying to glean more information.

The trio of Carnivine, eyeing him, are unhappy about their ritual being intruded on. Merchant discerns that this is some kind of feast ritual... perhaps a nightly thing. Some Grass-types do this, but only the stupid ones. While Merchant is thinking, the three plants slowly levitate toward him...

The tree trainers carry on the lone fleshy corridor; it looks like there's a fork in the organs ahead. Left and right. It seems like Stefan's right-on with his synopsis, as the organs have ceased functioning, but the vines dripping from the high ceiling and the overgrowth on the atrophied organs seem to indicate a level of life. Maybe it's the humid environment.

The Paras is able to understand the basic directions, and goes to his instructed location. The trap is set... (Roll Intimidate when shouting)

Merchant looks around, attempting to figure out how to act.
He pulls out a pokeball, tossing it out, summoning his newly created Weedle.

"Merchant has brought delicious meal!
But...its only enough for one of you...Which will have it?"

(Focus 16, 11, 18 = 15 avg)

All three grass beasts dive onto the Weedle.

It's gone. The Carnivine are satisfied. Looks like they can share.

A production of top-edge technology, gone in an instant.

Oh well.

"Merchant can assist in hunting for more delicious, and exotic, foods if you come along. Far greater than your flowers."

The Carnivine trio gets the gist of what Merchant is saying.

The gist being "food".

They amply wait for Merchant to give them another handout. But they don't seem patient.

Stefan begins to head down the right passage. With the way the body has deteriorated, he can't even guess at where he's going.

"Shall we split up? I doubt much is alive down here."

Merchant thinks quickly, tossing a pokeball into the air, summoning Koffing to float around.

As he does so, he subtly rolls a ditto's pokeball behind them, creating a fake Carnivine as they're distracted.

"Smokescreen!"

Smog fills the area, covering all four of the Carnivine.

Jones shakes his head. "Too dangerous in this setting. If there's a pitfall and we find it while alone, we could be trapped indefinitely, and possibly injured in the bargain. I suggest we follow the right-hand rule for now or try to find the source of the spores; explore that section as far as we can, and then backtrack. Plus there could be some grass types living in here; since the spores wouldn't bother them." Speaking of spores, which way do they seem to be coming from?

The divide presents a quandary. Reya would much rather the group split up to cover more ground but at the same time it wasn't very feasible with only one flashlight betwixt them. "Oh we probably wouldn't stumble into anything too dangerous down here. Still you have the light and I don't fancy stumbling around in the dark." She also suggests finding the source of the spores.
