As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Merchant gives a blank look to Barnaby, and a brief look around the surroundings. Michael? A rather human name to give a Paras.

Tired of waiting for the people in the Bulb, Merchant leaves Meganium to bask by the spores.

Unholstering his rifle, he heads into the woods with Meowth by his side, on the hunt for something worth money.

"...I don't think I like Michael very much. Do you, Private Dustermuch? Just a bad vibe following that guy..."

Barnaby decides to scout the area around the bulb for similar plant forms, and any pokemon that might be lurking. Might be good to keep a clear perimeter. He perches the Private on his shoulder, as his experience with the greenhouse was sure to be invaluable.

Reya's hand misses the rope and before she knows it, she tumbles off, landing with a thump on the spongy 'ground'. "Thanks," she mutters to Jones as she tries to clear her rattled head. Taking in the fleshy decoration, "Well I guess this really is a giant Venasaur..."she says slightly perturbed, being inside something that could easily swallow you whole wasn't a pleasant experience. "Let's try and find that apricorn quick ok?"

The trio in the big saur scout the area... there's plenty of massive organs around, but they seem to have atrophied and hardened over time. Looks like this thing isn't so alive on the inside. They do form walls on the inside, however; the only path from looking is one straight ahead, but it's nice and wide (6 meters). No telling how far it goes... the flashlight beam dissipates before it can reach the end.

Going off on his own for a bit, Merchant stumbles through some foliage blindly, before coming upon a clearing... full of dancing plants. It's three Carnivine, and they're dancing around a pile of pink flowers in some weird way. It looks like some kind of ritual, which is interrupted by the sound of Merchant stepping on twigs and roots. (Stealth DC17 <Group check'd, 16+12+23 / 3>)

The Colonel scouts the perimeter of the bulb, the surrounding areas, not straying too far... and stumbling through the plants, he comes upon a duo of grazing Stantler! Looks like they haven't noticed him yet.

Reya follows closely behind it certainly didn't seem dead. "It could still be alive but just be very old. The bulb didn't look too bad...Probably best not to bust anything until we find where the spores are coming from."

Hooooo! So the greenhouse DOES have a predatory species... in the form of predatory herbavores! In a plant-filled environment, how amazing!

To avoid startling the stantler, Barnaby uses hand gestures to fill Dustermuch in on the plan. The Paras will start by sneaking around the bush to a good shooting position, where it will wait for a signal. In the meantime, the Colonel would retreat back a bit to mount Clopperton away from earshot. He would then shout to get the attention of the Stantler, signalling Dustermuch to hit one with a Stun Spore.

The idea would be to intimidate both into running, but leave one incapable of escaping. That would be the one they capture.
