Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Stefan isn't so sure this is a good idea, but he follows them down. He wouldn't want to miss out on the good stuff.

It's difficult to flounder past the spray of spores, but all three manages to get down past the flap somehow.

What lies beyond this flap is... complete and utter darkness. There's absolutely no light to be had down here, and it smells awful to boot. The stream of spores threatens everyone lowering down with every passing drop, but the source appears to be getting closer, from the sound of spray intensifying.

Ten meters down (or just about), there's no sign of a floor below them.

Jones clicks on his flashlight to look around, even as he continues to descend.

Stefan reaches for his dark goggles before remembering he had a very important mask on. Instead he uses his free hand to switch on his own flashlight and let it drop down, enabling him to continue his descent with both hands, and hopefully shed some light on the bottom.

Reya is buffeted by the spores but continues on. She'd already gone this far, might as well keep going.

While Merchant messes around with his digging, Barnaby sends out his Paras to keep him company.

"Hello lad! Here's the situation; that guy I was with is in that bulb and we're stuck out here waiting on their return. That leaves us free time for rampant hooliganism out here should we so desire. And we do, for it is time I showed you the joy of hunting!"

The colonel grabs a stick from the ground and clears a spot for dirt to draw on. He draws out plans for Dustermuch to get a grasp of their course of action.

"We've several assets for our use in this local area, and utilizing each one should proove infinitely useful towards our goals. Your mushroom's unique scents, should you focus enough, should be able to allure others like bait. We can use that to draw a pokemon into a trap and take advantage of this bulb's spores to paralyze them on the spot! From there we can safely chip at their endurance until they're ready for capture."

"If this works, we may be able to get a nice pet for our patron, and that will get us some greater standing! Lets have a go at it!"

The flashlight beams reflect upon the surface they strike; a gooey, fleshy wall that sparkles a little like an ocean, in a disgusting way. Looking around, this 'underground chamber' appears to be supported by a few giant white curvy columns, which wrap around the walls to the top... oh, that's a ribcage.

A few more meters down, Jones and Stefan finally touch upon gooey flesh. Their shoes stick to the mess of moist body juices and spores... and Reya plummets face-first into the flesh-ground.

Dustermuch tries to apply the concepts explained to him... but he just can't seem to get a puff out.

Stefan stifles a retch inside his mask, a little thrown off by the ribcage, confirmation that they were indeed inside a Pokemon. He steadies himself, picks up his flashlight, and continues to follow Jones.

Jones looks around in astonishment... and a bit of queasiness. "Okay, so we're actually inside a giant pokemon. I'm just a tad bit freaked out now. Let's try to avoid touching any of the major organs, shall we?" Jones kneels down to help Reya to her feet, and then takes a second look around the cavity they're in.

Barnaby pets the Paras. "Thats OK, you don't learn physics in a day. We'll work on it."

"So, Michael, whats the deal with this bulb anyways? I'm not much of a herbologist, but I'm pretty sure plants don't usually grow that big."
