Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Stefan guides the green giant to a slower pace as they reach their goal, his mask snug on his face. The grass Pokemon seems unaffected by the paralysis spores, but he isn't so confident in the mounts of the others.

"So, how do we get in?"

Jones dismounts, and pulls out a coil of rope and his dive suit. "It's not too hard to climb the bulb. After that we tie off this rope to that column, and descend into the interior. There's a flap of some kind that the spores are emerging from, with empty space beneath it. I'll warn you now, visibility is very low. That's where we descend further, using the rope to rappel down and make sure that we can get back up. I have no idea what we'll find down there, so be prepared for anything. I'm hoping that we can find some Golden Apricorns. Those would be a prize that would get Mythrel off your back; and as I said earlier, it seems to be the key to opening up more of the pyramid." He begins suiting up, and finishes sealing the suit. "Everyone ready?"

"...question. Could you possibly seal the flap and prevent the spores from falling, if it's clear below?"

"Because if we could, say, freeze it over for even five minutes we could probably get everyone down there."

Jones shakes his head. "The flap is our point of entry. I wasn't able to find anything in the cavity directly inside the bulb; so we have to go through it. And quite frankly, with the amount of pressure those spores are under when being launched, sealing the flap could either wake up whatever mon this thing may or may not be attached to; or cause irreparable damage to whatever is inside the chamber we'll be entering."

"Merchant is going to recall the pokemon."

With only a brief pause, Merchant recalls the mounts, unceremoniously dropping any of the crew still on onto their collective butts.

He begins to walk around the bulb at a distance, searching it for any possible apricorns.

Reya puts on her gas mask and puts it on. Best not to forget that after the trek to get one. "Alright, I think I'm good to go" Finally they would figure out what was making the spores and maybe find some apricorns to boot.

There are no Apricorns to be had on the outside... the mother lode must be deep within.

Jones will wait until everyone who is going has donned their masks, and then begin the ascent. He's moving quite nimbly for someone in a dive suit.
