Theme Music is now mandatory

As the staircase rises further up, the vines become more frequent, eventually sporting a few bulbs and flowers here and there, with the natural light glowing ever brighter. At the very top step, the claustrophobic walls immediately cease, and give way to a wondrous place: A veritable jungle in the top of the pyramid!

While the staircase is in a small clearing, most everything beyond a few meters is completely impossible to see through; all it is is brush and moss. The top of the pyramid (from the inside) is visible, and appears to be some kind of gigantic skylight, allowing the sun's rays to filter through to this natural setting. Scuttling through the brush, a heap of Bug Pokemon are visible from the get-go, but disappear as soon as they spot an intruder.

A thin path can be discerned from the stairs, but it is incredibly thin, only a few inches wide. Going through the path, one would still be cutting through most of the brush.

Jason jumped from the scratch, feeling the pain quite a bit, but he also felt more determined than ever. His fist then flies towards the bug still there while angel does the same.

The Nincada takes the flurry of punches, still attached to Jason's leg. It even Hardens itself, making it harder to remove!

The other, injured Nincada slinks off into the jungle...

With the Nincada still attached to his leg, Jason could only punch it off and once again, he borrows some power from Angel.

Jason dodges the Leech Life attempt but upon hearing the rumbling, Jason gulps a little bit, using a potion on himself while Angel tries to finish off the Nincada by rushing at him and throwing his body into him.

The Nincada shrugs off the glancing Tackle...

Finally, the source of the dread appears: it bursts out of the trees, jumping far out in front of Jason. Its intimidating horns cause a chill to run up Jason's spine... it's a Pinsir!

The bug cracks its knuckles, looking like it's getting ready for a good old fashioned Bug beatdown. The Paras are shaking in fear...

Seeing the Pinsir show up, Jason squinted a little bit and took in a deep breath. He needed to focus himself because he knew this was going to be a true foe, but maybe after proving himself, this beast will also want to join his army.

"Looks like the fun never ends, eh, Angel?"

First though...they had to deal with the Nincada seemed to be sticking around.

The Nincada is barely affected by the glancing blows. Fortunately enough, the Pinsir steps up and PUNTS the tiny bug out of the way, back into the jungle. It then glares at Jason, with a deathly look in its eyes that seems to say "just you and me."

It tenses up, attempting to intimidate Jason further with a good flexing of its muscles. Focus Energy.
